Echoes of Vana'diel FFXI Alliance Raid

While it would be nice to see many of the XI's AF gear return, I find that to be at odds with their staunch, shallow excuse of "we don't want to confuse people with players using glamour from different roles/jobs" whenever they justify not removing the role-lock for glamour; like a XIV SCH wearing XI's WHM AF. So I question them if they open that can of worms.

They opened it once by releasing FF Tactics sets in the Ivalice raids. I think they could just pick items that don't look like AF sets from XIV... XI's DNC could make it because is vastly different from the iteration of DNC we have. Likewise, XI's BLU, which looks more like a scouting job.

The gearsets might be a bit too plain/pixelated with how well they've been doing textures since Shadowbringers. We have a taste of XI gear from Eureka with Osode, Optical Hat, Scorpion Harness, and I think the boots and cassie earring?

I remember doing some Eureka back in the day but I do not ever recall seeing XI gear there. I can remember enjoying Eureka, but I remember it used to have to be a massive group raid type thing. So you couldn't always find people who wanted to do it.

The first Eureka zone had a bunch of bits from XI no?

Assuming my memory stands correctly, I remember at least getting the Emperor's hairpin and Strider boots lookalikes from there, I suspect there might have been more too?

That gear actually is from around Heavensward I think, it's the crafted Wootz sets, there's also role-reversed Titanium sets.

Eureka had FFXI items from the start. I don't remember Pyros having anything other than the Elvaan minion, and most of the Hydatos stuff is from Baldesion Arsenal, but Anemos and Pagos both had a few things (Emperor Hairpin, Scorpion Harness, Strider Boots, Optical Hat, Cassie Earring, Speed Belt).

Gear wise:
Tank set - Adamant hauberk set, Haubergeon set, Kirin set, or TOAU sets (since this runs more of the XI and TOAU theme)

Mage sets:
Igqira Weskit set

Dps: still kinda not sure yet since nothing sticks out more than the JSE specifically

1) Dynamis dream worlds (or even just the main city dynamis zones) + Jeuno/Tavnazia

or

2) Valkurm dunes with the surrounding zones of Konschtat highlands, La Theine Plateau, and Tahrongi Canyon (but requires a manual 24 man shout party in the cities to get a whole alliance together to go lol)

I Liked that slide... I know WHMs are probably exhausted of getting the same silhouette over and over, but for DNC, it's all right because they're still kind of fresh. But in spite of that, I'd take my chances as a DNC main on a brand new silhouette, like they said in the Keynote they decided not to go for lol.

Myeah, there's no way FFXI is a shard of FFXIV. Lore in FFXI heavily conflicts with FFXIV's.

Cloud of Darkness especially, since that seems to be a being that travels the universe "destroying" all worlds it makes contact with (confirmed by Balamor in the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel story). Then there's the alternate futures and realities of Vana'diel. Abyssea is an apocalyptic future (a playable bad ending to Chains of Promathia, in a sense) and Shantotto learns how to use dimension travel magic... though accidentally swaps places with her tyrannical counterpart (who then splits in two: Domina and Belle Shantotto).

Then there's how the playable races and Beastmen were created, the Zilarts themselves, etc.
