I really hope they do another Shantotto event again while they got this raid going. They might as well, right?Shantotto has already appeared in the game back in 2013 for the very first FFXI crossoever event though (and all we got to do was beat up a giant golem of her in a FATE in Gridania). I doubt she'll appear in this, frankly. I'd be surprised if Iroha didn't show back up though, given she technically is still stuck in Hydaelyn though (at least, that's how the second FFXI event ended)....![]()
The raid should have started just inside the West gate of San d'Oria. Then the first section is running to Ghelsba Outpost, then the outpost before getting to the first boss. Then keep U/O this short airship hopping part is currently is. Finally Qufim should be two sections moving closer to the base of the tower instead of just teleporting enemies. That hill section for Ronfaure should have been Gustaberg which had all kinds of cliff faces that are JUST LIKE that. Instead they made Ronfaure look weirdly hilly when it never had stuff like that. Qufim was so saddingly short too. Nier raids had huge sections of running but the FFXI raids aren't allowed it? Sky had it in First Walk and that was amazing but we can't do that in this raid.
I have to agree with others, some areas were just too short. I had to smile at seeing more familer nms. The kirin fight seemed a bit short. Fare as I could tell we only had sazaku be summoned. I was expecting all 4 to show up.
Also we were robbed for not having sanctuary of zi'tah ffxi music again.
Nobody worshipped Promathia, except some of the Beastmen who knew about him, like the Moblins.lol exactly, Prishe actually beat down Promathia with her bare hands alongside the Adventurer, she sure didn't worship Promathia. Granted it's been a long time, but I remember NPCs in Vana'diel usually specifically mentioning Altana by name, like "By Altana!" or something when they'd do an "Oh God" kind of phrase
Exclamations in, "Oh God" territory are generally, "By the Goddess!" or "What in the Goddess's name?!" With its own quirks and things like the friars doing that specific arms wide bow, and saying, "May the Gates of Paradise open to you."
Prishe in particular was raised by Cardinal Mildaurion, and was seen as anathema to the church after an, "Eye of Altana" crystallized her Emptiness during a Baptismal Ceremony, turning it to black magicite, making her immortal and freezing her aging at 16. She's actually in her 40s, or there abouts, since that happened to her prior to The Crystal War, and the sundering of what was once the Tavnazian Peninsula(now Archipelago).
Aht Urhgan refers to Vana'diel as Urghuum, and worship a multi-headed serpetine being called Zahak (revealed to be a Hydra in the Mythic weapon questline). They also worship Alexander, and are descendant of a previous empire that built Alexander a giant fortress body, which in the current game is the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins, broken and scattered by Odin who is also considered to be The Divinity of Darkness.
According to some people he's the god that was freed from the Protocrystal of Darkness during the Crystal War, but the timeline for his actions in ToAU and TVR don't align with that. The other "Eidolons" are referred to as The Slumbering Gods, and The Celestial Avatars, as each has a star in the night sky. Odin and Alexander also have stars in the sky, but there's no Protocrystal of Light.
No one from the Middle Lands worships any of them, with Ramuh being the only one I know of that has any reference to worshippers. Those being the Mamool Ja as revealed in TVR, and the Olduum Civilization which sits inert in the Aydeewa Subterrane.
But yeah, that's all extra information from later expansions, and canonically Prishe is related to and brought up in the Tavanazian Cathedral, which is a sister sect to the San d'Oria Church, and they all worship Altana, and Altana alone. Even the revelation that Promathia exists, and there are hidden truths around him are considered blasphemous in the CoP storyline.
TL;DR - She would not and does not talk the way she does in XIV. At least as localized.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
Her personality and speech was changed somewhat in Dissidia 012, so as to not seem at odds with her looks for new players. Then this was dialed up in Dissidia NT and looks to be what they're basing the FF XIV version on.
To add to this, they released stories for each of the 6 celestial avatars. Written as in universe, so it's more legends, and unknown how much is actually true.
The Ice Queen Shiva-A Tragedy of Treason
The Hermit Ramuh
The Legendary Giant Titan
Leviathan, Guardian God of the Sea
The Transformation of Ifrit
Garuda, The Queen of Birds-A Tale of Granted Wishes
My main complaint is I wish there were more alliance mechanics that required the alliance to split off into their own groups, even if just for an add phase (though something Ozma and/or TGC would be very nice. Also the first two bosses in the second NieR raid). Don't just leave it in the Forked Tower!
Other complaints I feel Kirin and Ultima + Omega could maybe be a little more interesting. DPS check could have been Kirin summoning the four lords and Ultima + Omega... idunno, it just definitely needs more going on imo. Definitely more interesting than Althyk + Nymeia, but less interesting than Omega M/F Normal. Kam'lanaut is perfectly fine where he's at and Eald'narche is also just as fine, if a little easier than his younger brother lol.
I was quite happy to see the dancer's artifact gear in this raid, and i hope that they will add the Charis Attire Set too. Those two are perfect for a DNC glamour!
Nag'Molada next time?Sareel Ja said something about finding a "vessel" for Gulool Ja Ja, maybe we're going to fight a two headed Promathia?
Nag'molada does end up being a sacrifice of sorts to give Promathia a physical form, so this tracks. We never see Nag fight so it'd be odd to make a whole boss out of him, unless they make it like a swarm of Mammets? They already used Omega/Ultima so there isn't much left for him at this point. Besides, the Mammets seem more like a trash pack-worthy enemy than a real boss.
Blessed Child Promathia would be... interesting. Sareel does mention gods, plural, so I wonder if we'll end up fighting some incarnation of Altana? That'd be super weird.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
if Promathia isnt a boss in the last raid i would be greatly surprised. im also half expecting Odin and Alex to show up as well.
