If I had to take a guess, North San d'Oria will be similar to Lower Jeuno. Neither zone were used for Dynamis in FFXI, but they are using it in FFXIV as a sort of Dynamis. Since they've already used the Dynamis statues, I could see them have Fomors from the Hydra Corps in this zone, since the corps is supposed to be from San d'Oria. No idea who the boss would be, since I imagine it will be in the castle. Perhaps one of the princes, but that would just feel similar to Prishe.

Honestly with the lackluster, to put it kindly, way the devs have been doing things the past few expansions, they likely just googled "Jeuno Enemies", found there were only dynamis enemies listed, and used those without looking any deeper into it.

They did say they had help from the XI team, but my guess is they were solely used for visuals and the nostalgia bait chat bubbles above the Jeuno ghosts heads.

I don't like how many creative liberties they've taken with this. The first alliance raid was super faithful to the original FFXI aesthetic. This is barely recognizable.

I took some comparison photos. They really spruced up that castle.

The castle's redesign makes it look more like Dun Scaith.

Delkfutt (presumably) looks closer, even with the less visible cermet spine and pattern on the outside. Chateau d’oraguille looks a lot more exaggerated, not sure if the taller spires are meant to be underlining/caricaturing the elvaan arrogance or not given it’s through the lizard’s recollections. Again the angle/camera depth might be skewing things, the fountain is set a way back from the drawbridge; I’m not sure this view would be possible in xi without the fountain obscuring everything.

San d'Oria is my favorite city in FFXI and I love what they've done. If you look at the images side by side the geometry is almost identical. Other than little details here and there they've mainly just added those statues in the plaza and a few spires to Chateau d'Oraguille so it looks more befitting the home of royalty in a society that thinks very highly of themselves. The front of the structure is still spot on to the original, all the way down to the placement of the windows and where the flags are hanging.

Keep in mind that they're working with the current FFXI team on this and many of the former team members are on the FFXIV team. It's very possible that this design for Chateau d'Oraguille was people from the original team fulfilling their original vision.

What seems odd is them using San d'Oria as the second zone when Ordelle currency is already being used for the first raid series (Ordelle coins in XI was San d'Oria's Dynamis endgame coins). So are we just getting Byne bills next in place of it? (Byne bills being FFXI Bastok Dynamis currency papers in place of coins for the endgame zone). Seems out of touch. Dynamis Jeuno (from the XI standpoint of Dynamis) was just all cities currencies depending on which beastmen you killed. IE you killed Yagudo in the past-- you got Tukuku shells from Windurst nation. You killed Orcs, you got Ordelle currency. You killed Quadav, you got Byne Bills. You killed Goblins or any other types, and they were any possible types of currency to drop.

It seems like we are really getting the 3 general zones of Dynamis though (or the starting city zones for Dynamis + Jeuno). Qufim tower does look like one of the zones though

Maybe we're getting Montiont Silverpieces next and Ranperre Goldpieces for the third raid.

I'm not sure if we'll get Windurst and Bastok in the raids, I hope we get them all as visitable zones like Lower Jeuno though.

I'd be sad if we didn't get to go to Bastok but I have a feeling that Windurst will be the last one given the Mithra/Taru love and its unique aesthetic.

Taking the opportunity to demand they add the Igqira Weskit to the game.
