For some gear, for example, the 2nd Dye Channel dyes the cloth underneath the armor and the trims. It looks fine and reasonable.
However, for Healing/Fending, the 1st Dye Channel dyes BOTH the armor and the cloth underneath it, while the 2nd Dye Channel dyes only the trim of the armor. It looks like a mess, with everything blending together because of the same dye.
Spaghetti code, or spaghetti coding?
Looks like his shoulder.
So we'll probably fight Kam'lanaut and Eald'narche. I wonder if they'll be separate or Apocalypse Nigh style.
For the first raid we had Shadow Lord, who is the final boss of the base game. Now Kam'lanaut and perhaps his brother, the main villains of Zilart. My guess is then that the boss of the third part is a Promathia(villain of Chains), who might have broken free of the lizard's control.
I always suspected that Promathia was going to be the final boss of the raid since Odin, Alexander, Shinryu and so many others are already all in the game. I suspect Lady Lilith will make an appearance too at some point. I just hopeFor the first raid we had Shadow Lord, who is the final boss of the base game. They only did that once in XI and it was a real special moment that was handled really well, where as here Hydi just kept yappin and appearing so much before they revealed her as the villain of the story, so it took away her mystique.
It makes sense, but I am also kinda expecting a fight based on Besieged, since there's a Gulool Ja Ja clone involved in the story with Sareel Ja.For the first raid we had Shadow Lord, who is the final boss of the base game. It'd also give Bakool Ja Ja an opportunity to do something by giving him a mirror match against his FFXI counterpart. (Bakool was Gulool's second-in-command for Besieged.) Plus we might get a cameo from Gurfurlur, since his model is already done. Medusa too, maybe, though the lamia model would need some updating.
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
It's too bad that XIV has used a bunch of iconic fights from XI already so there'd be no point redoing it here in the Alliance Raid. Doing some stuff from Besieged would be a lot of fun as a ToAU fan so I'm all for that mirror match. I just hope the gear this time around is more inspired than the Ark Angel gear, I remember quite a few XI fans were hypothesising what beloved FFXI sets we'd get only to get none of them. lol
I could see them reusing some things. Like Ozma was in an alliance raid and then BA, maybe they'll take Absolute Virtue from BA and plop him in the alliance raid. They could always change the mechanics so you have to get him stuck on the other side of a rock to win or something. Al'Taieu would be a nice zone to see in XIV too. It's too bad that XIV has used a bunch of iconic fights from XI already so there'd be no point redoing it here in the Alliance Raid. And I live in constant fear of the gear getting XIV-ifyed. The Ark Angel gear was ...fine, I guess. The casting set was a little too frumpy though. As long as they give us something that's trying to be FFXI gear, and not some XIV drapes and trenchcoats, I think I'll be okay with it.
A fight with a Beseiged setting would be fun and chaotic. And if they had the serpent general cutscene with Aniki, it would be even better
