I personally expected a bit more from EU Fanfest

They're not doing a very good job of hyping up DawnTrail for me.

The new job looks extremely boring, like it was cooked up by an intern. So far everything else has put me to sleep and I was already on the fence whether to continue playing after how bad post-EW has been.

I am definitely going to play Dawntrail, no matter what. I still enjoy FFXIV very much.

It is just that I had hoped for more reveals at this Fan Fest, which were not initially expected. Or maybe different system updates.

I don't think Dawntrail will be bad. I just think this fan fest wasn't as good as the NA fan fest, because there were a lot more reveals and interesting stuff at NA.

They have previously said that they see certain regions a certain way. I remember that they believed EU is more "artsy" so they try to do art-related announcements there instead, while they find the others more technical so they try to do more technical panels at the others. I don't actually agree because my experience is people in the EU are more technical, but that seems to be how they see it based on who comes to fanfests.

At least the Allagan themed stuff that was hinted at was a plus. But they've gone and stuffed four zones into tural. Can't wait for jungle, jungle (but split in upper and lower!), mountainous highland, and Texas. Would have hoped they would've given us three meracydia zones but lmao rip.

History has proven that not every zone is necessarily guaranteed to be in the expansion themed areas. Also nothing is really preventing Myracidia from being more jungle and mountainous highlands.

Oh, they did? I personally wouldn't describe us Europeans as artsy. But maybe because I am german. Depends on the type of European I guess.
I mean i honestly did enjoy the section about the graphics update. But i would still liked more updates.

Honestly I dont know what OP and others were expecting with this follow up. Almost feels like theyre just wanting 8.0 or something.

What we got here:

1.Viper Job announcement
2.Extended look at the new zones along with a couple of extra ones
3.Echoes of Vanadiel Alliance Raid (FFXI crossover)
4.FFXVI collab announcement
5.Gameplay teaser of Fall Guys collab (looks fun btw)
6. In depth look at the 7.0 Graphical Update between characters and environments (the stuff they showed seriously impressed me)
7. Theyre working on a new Limited Job come 7.x so confirmation that the idea isnt dead.
