Garbage, worse than even my lowest most lukewarm expectations.
Literally just reaper again and reaper was terrible in my opinion.
Curious why do the Devs hate final fantasy so much?

Reaper job action looks like this:
Waxing Slice > Infernal Slice > Waxing Slice > Infernal Slice > Unveiled Gibbet > Infernal Slice > Slice > Unveiled Gibbet > Gibbet > Enshroud > Void Reaping x3
By my count, that is 7 unique actions that were shown.
In contrast to Viper, I counted 8 unique actions. (Slice up, then down > Stabby stabby [x2] > Quick slices > Quick slices with down slash [x2] > Spinny spinny with the swords joined [x2]> 3 slashed with joined swords > blue aura activate > Phantom rush with swords).
Neither of them show of any sort of context in how they play, just what we could assume based on past experiences. Again, I don't see how you can call it looking incomplete when all we really have are animations.
I'm really disappointed by this reveal. They had a lot of other options. Another dual blade class for scouting gear... Lol, it's creatively bankrupt. The magic dps better be mind blowing or I think after eight years it might be time to cancel my sub. Possibly sad day.
It just seems like Ninja? I don't see the difference.
If you can't see the enormous difference in polish between those two teasers, I really don't know what to tell you.Reaper job action looks like this:

Give it a couple of days to let the fanfest endorphins wear off I guess.
Mostly happy I'll have something else to play using scouting gear.
The job itself doesn't seem terribly unique to me and I'm dubious about any job that has a stance or power-up mechanic because it typically ends up being "push one or two buttons until the buff wears off".
Wish it was Corsair but Ill give it a chance. The Viper glam looks cool enough imo. Especially once we dye it
look nice, want to see how it will play.
It's kind of hard to tell by the 40 secs alone, they just showed a combo and a burst. I'm hoping they do go through FF9's and let get in trance or something. But it's really just hopium cuz I can also see them fitting it into the 2 min meta. That animation doesn't evel feel unique since I feel like I saw it in monk already...
I like dual wielding, and I like double sabers. The job looks cool enough, but it really seems like something is missing. Hopefully the trailer just didn't properly show off what the fun parts of the job are. There doesn't seem to be any... gimmick, mechanically. I will definitely try it out, but I'll keep my fingers crossed there's more to it.
My one serious complaint is that the AF gear design is just boring, like GNB before. The gear just looks like any generic leveling set, not nearly good enough for a class-defining aesthetic.
But I get the feeling the dev team has been playing other games lately
