I'm already looking forward to all the Kiritos at the bottom of the dps.
There will probably always be a certain amount of "snapping" because the weapon model switches from the "weapon sheathed bone" attached to your hip/back to the "weapon drawn bone" that's attached to your hand.
The weapon is basically attached to two different fixed points depending on whether it's drawn or sheathed and making those transition perfectly is hard.
And it looks incredibly bad when the weapon just magically teleports from their back into their hand, but they most likely don't care about making it look good on DoH/DoL jobs since they're not supposed to fight anyway.

Meh squared.
So far I am absolutely in love with the new Viper job. I like the look of the armor which looks very fitting for a adventurer as well as the weapon type that reminds me of Zidane who is one of my all-time favourite FF characters.
I can only hope that Viper plays differently from Ninja because I am not a huge fan of that job due to its Ninjutsu mechanic. How the Job plays, however, is something we will only be able to tell as soon as SE releases more gameplay footage.
The only thing I am a little disappointed in is that it does not look like that the swords will get scabbards. Which is a problem that many sword based jobs in FF14 have, so I will overlook it. Still a bit disappointing considering that Samurais got them.

Scabbards really limit the design potential of the weapon, I'm glad they don't have them so we can get a variety of shapes and sizes. SAM weapons all look nearly identical unless you are zoomed in for a glamour shot.

if only search engines had the option to deny results from the last few days easily as searching for the latest.

World of Warcraft Hunter, Aspect of the Viper.
I still think it's such a weak concept. Like in WoW, that Hunter archetype (Beastmaster) works like GW2 Soulbeast, where they have several animal stances: Aspect of the Cheetah, Aspect of the Beast, Aspect of the Dragonhawk, Aspect of the Monkey, etc. And while I understand the need to not step on Monk's toes, it just feels so underwhelmingly unidimensional to have the whole thing just be "snek".
Again, if we hadn't already done "snek" I think better and more subtly with Sage, I wouldn't mind as much. But like, branch out devs.
