This is the second time i've reached out to customer support and after my first attempt i expected a dry technical reply that seemed automated and was not disapointed.

The first time was when i was trying to buy an expansion but i accidentally bought the regular version thinking i had to buy the deluxe edition upgrade separately. I contacted support when i realized my mistake for a refund but i got the reply that because the key i had gotten for the expansion has been used(it's automatically used when you buy it) they couldn't refund it. I can only assume that these keys are limited in quantity and that each one they create comes at an incredible cost to the company.

The second time was recently when even though i had been playing FFXIV i hadn't entered my house with my character and it was going to be demolished. After reading the email which gave me 2 days to comply i was only able to login a few hours after the time was over and lost my house. I emailed support expecting the usual automated reply and was not disappointed. They told me as usual they were not able to do anything and linked me the relevant articles about house demolition to emphasize it was my fault(which it was) and left me the usual Best Wishes

I've played other online games where the customer support actually tries to help the customer instead of just telling telling them how they did something wrong. I really enjoy the game and the content but the customer service has set the bar as low as possible and still manages to underperform.
