Request: Unlock Grand Company Gear so it is usable for all

If I could request one addition to GC gear, it would be for the Adders Elite gear to get a new DPS headpiece that matches the other two tree-branch crowns. It really got dudded with the green mask instead.

I have the horse mount from The Immortal Flames. I can't use it unless I swap back to the Immortal Flames, but I'm working on getting the one from Limsa's GC. Same for the chocobo minions that you can get, and the barding, even though there's achievements for having all from all GCs.

Kinda weird you can't show off stuff from other GCs, when they've flat out admitted they don't know what they want to do with the GCs.

Plus we kinda saved all their asses, so everyone knows we're technically allied with every big nation/ect, so why not just let us rock what we want from them?

I think it more has to do that it's 3 factions. So you rock their colors you a part of them.

Only stuff in the game that's locked behind a '15 day cooldown and 50k gil' to swap GCs, so it's kinda unique in that way in an annoying way.

I mean, while that's nice it's a faction thing. Also you could just join each one, rank them and then get the item you want from each

They're no longer really separate factions once you reach the 5.5 MSQ. They're all one great big Grand Company of Eorzea.

I don't see a problem with allowing them to be used once purchased regardless of current Grand Company affiliation. If SE wants to put some sort of progress restriction on it, that shouldn't be a problem. They already did similar with the EW artifact gear (have to complete the appropriate role quest to dye the gear).

On GC glam topic...

Since they're re-introducing ARR sets (virtu, prestige, etc)... it would make every sense to re-introduce the GC Elite sets as well, in high resolution and dyeable!

I would personally love the Flame Elite set in a different shade other than the purple which has no matching dyes. This set was the only reason I chose the Immortal Flames lol.

I have a few pieces of allied seal GC gear I'd love to be able to use simultaneously, but restrictions say no. If anything, I'd like to see at least the allied seal gear be lifted of those restrictions, or even get alternate, dyable versions of said gear with no restrictions. Some of those Serpent pieces do look very nice, but on principle I will never join up with Adders.

Even getting allied seal GC gear used to be a pain in the butt until they added the Masked Carnival. Less restrictions on gear that is only utilized as glam is a good thing.

Was about to add on that they should be dyeable.
But was beat to it just a few comments above.

While the best situation would be a Consuming Glamour Tome/Book/Log that effects any dresser you use.(in the sense it consumes the items glamour/item if you no longer need it into the book. The book itself is Unique/Untradeable.)

But on topic.
while I find The Flames have Generally acceptable glamour. the fact you can't have permissions to rep them or use their gear regardless of current Allegiance/PvP is kind of a let down.

Back on to Dyeing the items and no locks.
With The Dual Dye Channels. the Antithesis in color schemes would give so much style to them. Like the Maelstrom LT Coat, is very nice. if I could use it while Flames, or Make it Red and black lines. it would be worth so much.

Yet dye locked just as it is to their GC.
