Is there an easy way to get this, as well as Wind-up Calofisteri, without constant reattempts of both of their correlative dungeons? Doesn't help that you have a 1/24 chance of getting either ;n;

For Wind-up Alexander, you could try unsyncing it yourself or posting an unsync PF. It also drops in Savage so you could do it under the guise of a mount farm since they're both guaranteed drops.
For Calofisteri, it might be harder to get an unsync party for. Dunno how many ppl you'd need to clear it, but you might only need one or two ppl per alliance. This one might be better to just queue up for in DF.
The past is prologue
Might have to level up a bit first for Savage Alexander Duties, might get the hell spanked out of me even at a higher level LOLFor Wind-up Alexander, you could try unsyncing it yourself or posting an unsync PF. BUT, I'll definitely have to try to see if I can do the regular one unsynced, PF is a great idea <3
And yeah, if anything, I'll see if my FC can help with getting Calofisteri or something. I get why both aren't on Market, but damn, they really hate people with multiple jobs and/or kids ;n;
Both of these items are tagged as unique(almost all non-tradable minions and mounts are), so anyone who already has one cant roll against you for another one. They also both drop every run(Calofisteri didnt used to), so typically you end up rolling against half the group or less. I wouldnt hazard a guess how many it would take to un-sync Wheeping City, but i cant imagine its more then 4 per group. Still though, just continuing to run it you will likely win it sooner then you might think. But Alex? Assuming this is the Toy Alexander from the Soul of the Creator instance, THAT one is soloable. A level 80 tank in appropriate gear might be able to handle normal mode as is, at 90 you can pretty easily solo the savage version(and claim the mount!). The tricky part is actually the time travel mechanic(the most important mech in both normal AND savage mode). You need to enter one of the 4 portals and kill the add on each of the 4 platforms before they wipe the raid(you). Beyond that? Any tank in decent gear will have no trouble keeping their health high enough. Burden of the father and burden of the son are both also easily soloable in normal mode. Burden of the father(savage) CAN be solod, but you need a class with VERY strong burst(personally i did it on BLM with some crit luck). When you get to the 3rd leg, you need to kill it(its something like 400k health) within the space of 2 GCDs or it triggers a mech that can not be done solo and WILL kill you. Ive yet to find or hear of a way to solo Burden of the Son(savage) - when you get to the last phase the very first thing wipes you and it still has more then half health.
This is extremely helpful, thank you so much! I didn't realize that unique items prevent those who have them from getting them again, that makes sense with them being trade/market prohibited. I'll give Soul of the Creator a try on solo, and will keep trying at Weeping City <3Both of these items are tagged as unique(almost all non-tradable minions and mounts are), so anyone who already has one cant roll against you for another one. I'm guessing if you found 1 level 90 friend the two of you could do the final Alexander fight unsynced very easily. Minion's a guaranteed drop and in 2 or fewer runs you'd both have it. My spouse and I are mediocre at the game and can easily duo the fight at level 90 as a tank and a dps, and I know that people have solo'd it as well.
Oooh, that's a good idea! I'm sure someone in my FC would help with that <3I'm guessing if you found 1 level 90 friend the two of you could do the final Alexander fight unsynced very easily. You can even solo A12s at this point (at least on certain jobs) if your gear is high enough, so someone could run it for you and get not only a minion but a mount as well.
