    What do YOU want out of a Dawntrail Deep Dungeon?

    As the title reads.

    Are you satisfied with the current format of DD's? Would you want another in the same mold? What changes, if any, would you like to see? Would you prefer they go for a drastically different take this time around? Etc., etc..

    I am not a fan of the current deep dungeon formula. I would like to see radical changes to it that would transform the DD system into a roguelike setup with randomized abilities, lost actions, passive buffs and so on for solo and group play alike. Ideally existing job and lost actions would be integrated in a way that would have people figuring out rotations as they go and acquire more of them. The aetherpool system I would like to cut entirely. Instead of regular mobs I would like to see a more boss rush focused approach.

    I would like to have 100 casual floors like in PotD again and an extra 100 difficult floors. But let us start the difficult floors without having to run the easier ones for hours beforehand.

    The last two Deep Dungeons are not "deep" at all for the majority of players. Grinding the same 10 floors over and over is just boring. Of course the content is dead on arrival. Plus the conflict between people who want exp and people who want loot - which needs a solution. Extra exp gains from opening chests and finding hidden treasures maybe?

    Having an solo achievment for the easier floors and another one for the harder ones would also add an extra activity for the more midcore playerbase.

    I was hoping EW Deep Dungeon would turn out like this, so I'm totally in favor of it. Enough of PotD clones and more of actual different deep dungeons.

    I would like this. I'd be very bummed out if we got "PoTD 4," so to speak. I'd like for them to evolve past Mabinogi dungeons and try something new. I'd also like for it to be set in the new expansion areas and build on new lore. I can only take so much Allagan whatsitwhosit. Dawntrail seems to be aiming for a "breath of fresh air" vibe, so I hope it actually sticks to that.

    it already exists:
    PotD: pal-less palace I and II
    HoH: Heaven is a lonely place I and II
    EO: All by Eurekaself I and II

    Though one could argue that for PotD the harder content starts at 150 and not 100 and HoH 70 instead of 50.

    Anyway, I like the first two dungeons but EO not so much. Though I find the EO bosses better, the mobs are not fun. It’s a get out of AoE game. Other than that they deal pretty low damage. They also have way too much HP at lvl <40. It feels like you hit them with a wet noodle when you solo: it takes forever (if low aetherpool the timer can easily become a problem) and it’s boring. If you didn’t get into EO early, getting XP aetherpool from 0 is now tedious as no one queues. At least in PotD and HoH I can go in solo with 0 aetherpool and farm it by myself rather fast if I want to (they could change the grindy Aetherpool system). I hope the next dungeon is more balanced.

    The "repeatable casual" floor set needs to be less of an eyesore. Orthos is peak Ugly Clashing Allagan and constantly disorienting.

    This more or less covers what I'd like:
    • I want aetherpool gear replaced with something else if possible. Maybe DD specific gear we can make gearsets with (again, if possible)
    • Something like a lost action system in place of Pomanders, or something like Torghast from WoW where we got randomized buffs to our actions we could select. DD is optional content so the burden of it being mandatory is not here to weigh it down.
    • I want to keep DD as a viable alternative to normal dungeons for leveling jobs, which is something Eureka Orthos failed at.

    People often used the first 2 as alternative leveling options and the new one doesn't really offer that. I'd like that same leveling option to be included. Aetherpool should either be linked between all deep dungeons or allow us to gather it faster. After 3 DD, the same atherpool system is just stale and in the way.
