The black markets still exists due to most people willing to pay ANY amount after losing COUNTLESS lotteries.

The fact that a small could potentially have a large interior is beyond wild and honestly pretty cozy.

If this "housing mirage" is any close to what people are thinking then yes the prices would skyrocket.

People are always looking to upgrade from small -->Medium --> Large. Now in theory if you no longer needed to (unless you needed extierior) then you're looking at everyone who owns Anything inbetween holding onto their houses way harder.

Again this housing mirage could be a complete bust... if not.... Get ready for the Salt Mines to go even deeper.
Who is still losing lotteries to get their first house of any size? Not many players from looking the entry numbers on small plots in the lotteries. Someone else from Sargatanas was saying in another thread that there are several smalls available there now and some don't get bids.

The numbers are large on the mediums and larges because most of the entries are coming from players who already own (usually a small) but want to upgrade to the medium or large.

If Housing Mirage is implemented, what happens? Most of those owners who were trying to relocate lose interest in relocating because now they have that medium or large interior they were after. Demand goes down.

What drives a black market? Scarcity of a commodity that is in high demand. Lower demand does not improve conditions for the black market.

Exactly how do you think the black market is going to get a hold of a bunch of houses to sell when they have to fight the lottery and the only way to sell them if they win is if they are FC houses?

Who do you think they're going to sell to when anyone willing to go the solo FC route to get a house has probably already done so?

The black market will continue to be able to deal in the prime plots that players aggressively go after - if they're able to win those plots in the lottery competing against all the FCs trying to get those same plots. They're going to lose is the market from players who have been trying to relocate to upgrade interior size because that will no longer be necessary.

Trust me. Housing Mirage will not be a boon for the black market because the bulk of the demand they were serving will dry up overnight.

As for players holding onto their houses "way harder", there's already a scarcity of voluntary relinquishment. Housing Mirage is not going to make anyone hold onto their house any "harder" than they already are.

But you're right that the Salt Mines will be going deeper - among those who sell on the black market and will have few buyers looking for their services.
