Request: Right-click turning while stationary in legacy movement

This is the only thing that stops me from using legacy movement. With standard movement, I can hold right-click and move the mouse to turn in the middle of a cast to follow a moving enemy or avoid a glare. To deal with either of these things in legacy, you have to move at least a little, so your cast gets interrupted. I otherwise like legacy better, but I can move well enough in standard that it's not worth genuinely losing something (as opposed to it just being a bit harder).

One of the biggest advantages of Legacy movement is that Auto Face Target doesn't make you move in bad directions, so Legacy has no reason to keep Auto Face Target off. If you turn Auto Face Target on, you will track enemy movement while stationary without pressing anything at all.

Just tap the Move Back button. The cast part, not really an issue, as casting requires you to keep facing the target until the point-of-no-return on your cast bar anyway, regardless of movement type.

Hence my desire to use legacy. I really like Auto Face Target, and I'd like to be able to use it without moving in bad directions. Didn't know it tracks mid-cast though, thanks for pointing that out!

This is not true. In standard, I can start a cast either with Auto Face Target on or having turned myself toward the target, and then until the point-of-no-return, I can right-click and spin around as much as I want. It only actually checks for facing the target at the beginning and end of the cast. In the middle, you can look wherever you want, and can thus avoid a Gaze while not interrupting your cast.

Interesting! That is a point of unfairness against Legacy.

However, I would argue that the solution is to require Standard players continue to face target for the whole cast. Even with Auto Face Target tracking a mob, a cast will still get interrupted if an enemy runs through me, even if they do so somewhere in the middle of the cast and I could have auto-spun to face them before the final cast check, which suggests to me that they intended for characters to maintain facing throughout the entire cast.

I also think that we should be able to spin around in place using right click drag, but I don't think it should allow breaking LoS without breaking cast.
