Issue with As Goes Light Goes Darkness Quest

Hello, I'm on the aboved mentioned quest. But, the game doesn't get past the cut scene, it always fails. There's a duel in the cut scene and the person you want to win always dies. I've tried it 3+ time on all difficulty settings and the cut scene eats up 15+ minutes of the Duty and always fails.

Any suggestions as to how to get past this?

The most likely answer is that you're missing one of the hostages, or else that you need stronger gear.

IIRC once Aymeric is duelling with the other person, you're meant to go looking for other hostages in need of rescue. Are you doing that or just standing and watching? Aymeric's health is effectively a timer for you to do your part.

The strongest gear you can easily buy at level 60 is the Shire set from Idyllshire – go inside the central building. The lady at the middle counter sells armour and the right counter sells weapons.

Beyond that, you may need to look at some instructions/videos either on the battle or how to best play your class so you can defeat enemies and rescue the hostages quickly.
