    Game crashes in Hoper's Hold (PC/Windows)

    As title states, it's only in this area. I've tried limiting FPS and graphics settings (from maximum to laptop), but will still crash multiple times. Very frustrating since I've just started beast tribe dailies there. Please let me know what information I can provide to help w/ support. TIA.

    Greetings jtnoboru,

    I'm very sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this crashing issue. For us to better assist you, could you confirm the following:
    - Are you running any addition programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
    - Does this crash occur on more than one character?
    - Were any system updates, driver updates or changes made to the PC at the time of the crash?
    - Does this crash occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does the crash occur when alt-tabbing while in borderless or windowed mode?
    - Are there any error messaged upon crashing? (If any)

    Could we also request for a system report? This can be generated by opening the launcher and going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display and then copy and paste all the details into a response here. We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

    Unfortunately not - just crashed 6 times (3 while picking up dailies and 3 when turning them in). No errors prompt. Not sure if there is an error log somewhere, is there?

    | Are you running any addition programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?

    Nothing unusual and nothing new. System apps, browser, Spotify, etc. (see report)

    | Does this crash occur on more than one character?

    I wouldn't know - I only have 1 character who has cleared enough content to get to this place.

    | Were any system updates, driver updates or changes made to the PC at the time of the crash?

    I keep up w/ regular system and GPU updates. No updates seem to be conflicting.

    | Does this crash occur if the game is run in full screen mode?

    I primarily play borderless windowed, but I tried it on full screen mode for you and it just crashed.

    | Does the crash occur when alt-tabbing while in borderless or windowed mode?

    It does not crash while alt-tabbing. It crashes almost everytime I take the teleport to Hoper's Hold from Bestways Burrow (and sometimes visa versa).

    | Are there any error messaged upon crashing? (If any)

    Nope, game just closes.

    Found the cause of the problem, still looking for the solution. Looking at Event Viewer, I see:

    ```
    Faulting application name: ffxiv_dx11.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x6515627f
    Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.22621.2428, time stamp: 0x806d3ecf
    ```

    I've tried running some system tools to correct the problem as well as reinstalled AMD software and no luck.

    I think next step is to reinstall FFXIV, could you please provide the recommended steps for doing this w/o losing any saved character data? Ty!

    Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    We apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred when playing Final Fantasy XIV. In the event that you should require a reinstallation of FINAL FANTASY XIV, please note that the game files and the local in-game configuration files are separate. A uninstall/reinstall should not affect the configuration files as those are saved in the 'FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn' folder located in Documents > My Games or if you use OneDrive > Documents > My Games file paths. To be extra safe, you may also visit the settings of the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher and use the 'Back Up Tool' to back up your interface settings as well.

    We hope this information has been helpful. Thank you once again for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
