    General Suggestions

    Hello, I've started compiling a list of things that currently bug me in the game and figured I might as well post them on the forum.

    Just to note that I bought the game when it first came out but didn't play long as I found the experience to be horrible and only started playing again very recently. I know some of my feedback will more than likely be answered in 2.0 but I figured I'd still put it there anyway.

    1- I find the gui to be laggy in all of its aspects, it takes time to react to user actions, it takes time to load quest text, it takes time to load map markers (shops, party members)

    2- I should be able to have multiple gui windows open but I can't. I guess this is due to gui being designed for console.

    3- I should be able to change keybinds for action bars, I should also be able to put the same ability in multiple places. Macros should be a regular action and should be allowed to be put on the action bar not just in its own secluded bar. This would require us to have more than 3 regular action bars which could be simply taken from the pool of macro bars.

    4- The default targetting needs some work, I've put my keybinds on tab, shift-tab to cycle through only enemies but I think this should be default. You don't tab target friendlies when you heal anyway.

    5- While I don't mind the crafting class requirement to repair a specific item, I do mind the requirement to currently be in said class to actually do the repair. I also find it to be an annoyance to need for the item to be unequipped to be repaired.

    6- Still on subject of repairs, when I select repair all gear on a repair npc, I don't want to have to confirm that I want to repair every single items, I was lazy by even picking the option which means I don't want to say yes again and again and again. Just show me the total cost and I'll say yes to that.

    7- I find it annoying to have to wait 10 seconds when I use my class change macros because /equip macros commands are run one by one, it should be done all in one shot.

    8- While crafting is slow to level, I think it would be more bearable if we didn't have to wait through so many animations. Seeing those animations after the 10000th time gets old.

    9- I think crafting needs a recipe book (which I know should be coming in 2.0) but it also needs a way to allow you to easily redo the same synthesis, right now you have to click [recipe->topmost recipe->(mainhand|offhand)->Confirm] having to click 4 times every time for something that is essential for leveling can be huge drag during the whole leveling process not to mention the ui lag incurred during each click.

    10- I think gathering classes xp rate is too low for their intended grade level, I have to switch to the next grade really fast to get acceptable experience but not having the ability to search for that next grade makes it a bit harder for mining since nodes aren't as easy to spot as botany nodes. I also think making gathering this painfully slow and tedious to level could cause a flood in low grade gatherable and a lack in higher grade gatherable due to most people giving up on gathering due to its extreme length to level.

    1, 8, and 9 have been specifically mentioned before and are supposed to be getting fixed in 2.0. I'm either in agreement or have no opinion on everything else you've posted.

    Thanks for the reply and I didn't know about your spreadsheet until now, its a pretty good tool and got it bookmarked now hehe.

    I also forgot to specify that item number 5 of the list also applies to materia melding.

    Also, this is a 2.0 thing but I hope they will implement an api at least as good as world of warcraft's addon api. For all that game's shortcomings, its ui and addon capabilities are something that I believe every game should copy and yet none of them do. Just hope I don't get flamed for mentioning the W word in here.

    I just tried to see what is considered an important notice and was surprised to see a bunch of notices that are outdated and useless. The whole top of this forum is really useless because any important message or notification is so buried in old messages that no one will ever figure out it was important.
    You should have all vital information in one tab, which you update constantly to keep it current. Get rid of all the old stuff. If you want a log of what you said, that is fine... but keep it separate.
