    What are some the most BS mechanics in the game?

    BS mechanics - Mechanics that are only difficult because they are clunky or poorly implemented.


    Here's mine: Anything with tethers. That weird and inconsistent delay in swapping tethers or trying to distance them just right. Ex7 meteor tethers are a massive offender of this.

    The mechanic itself is very simple, executing it difficult because 1 step forward, your tether is bad, 1 step back your tether is bad, 1 step forward your tether is good. They took the USB port dilemma and decided to make it a mechanic and it's disgusting.

    as BLM, moving is overused and should be banned.
    I would like to play as statue, everyone just stand where they are and use their abilities.
    Every boss spell is tankable with manaward.

    I 100% encourage any BLM to stand in mechanics so long as it doesn't kill you. Healers can adjust.

    Simon style spur-of-the-moment pattern memorization mechanics. Quite a lot of people have next to no ability to do those without guidance. I can't even begin to count the number of people I watched get eaten by Proto-Carbuncle early in the expansion, and that one wasn't even complex.

    Edit: It occurs to me there's probably hardly anyone on these forums that remembers Simon. Rofl.

    Debuff passing. If your game has a tick rate that allows for me and my pass target to run directly through each other without the pass actually taking place, you should not be allowed to use pass mechanics.

    Alexander AOE marker with silver balls floating above it, that's the number.
    I know there are more than just those two, but they are the ones that I see most during roulettes.

    So simple, yet so hard for people to understand.

    TBH I was thinking more on an EX/Savage perspective... It's just an annoyance to prog through.

    Actually, I don't hate the mechanic per se, but I do hate the fact that nowadays almost every high end encounter has it. Let this be more of a rare occurrence.

    Thinking about high end mechanics on a second thought, I also wish they would give 'Limit Cut' some vacations through Dawntrail.
