FFXIV 1.0 Purchaser Rewards?

Hey y'all! So I started playing 2.0 earlier this year, but I originally pre ordered the deluxe version of 1.0 waaaaay back when. I had heard a long time ago that if you used to have 1.0 then you could get some exclusive goodies in 2.0. I don't have my fingers crossed, but is that still something I can take advantage of?

I think you had to have subscribed for a certain amount of time to qualify for reduced sub time and stuff, but i think the legacy tattoo was for anyone with a character. Someone more experienced will know more

I think that most of it is tied to a character from 1.0, where it carries over items and other data from 1.0. It's possible there could be something exclusive to accounts generally that they can redeem on all future characters, but it would most likely depend on them having a mog station account from 1.0. I doubt just owning the game on its own would have been enough without having made the associated account. It's possible a current mog station account would still allow you to redeem a 1.0 game code, but unlikely.

Depends, the original release of 1.0 had bonus items included and these theoretically should still be redeemable (they were codes you have to redeem in your FFXIV account on the Mogstation). If you never used the codes you could try and should still be able to get the items (I presume by 'deluxe edition' you mean the Collector's Edition which included an item code for the Onion Helm). Additionally, the serial code for 1.0 is still redeemable as an ARR code if you haven't yet bought ARR (which basically upgrades 1.0 to ARR, but only the PC version).

Other bonuses required a 1.0 character active and transferred into ARR, and not just "I bought 1.0 but never signed up for it or used it", such as the Legacy Campaign bonuses like the Legacy Chocobo, or "only available in 1.0" goodies like the original Gobbuue mount.

So yeah, the only bonus I can see that you could get would be the Onion Helm, which should be still redeemable on the Mogstation if you have the voucher code from the 1.0 Collector's Edition for it still.

This would likely be more suited for contacting support by phone/live chat, but Jeeqbit is correct: most items were for use in 1.0 and carried over to 2.0. Reimmi is also correct that reduced sub cost, legacy chocobo and legacy tattoo were rewarded to 1.0 players who played through a specific amount of time or cleared specific 1.0 quests. The tattoo only requires you to have made a character in 1.0.

If you have some redeem codes from your 1.0 set though, you may still be able to redeem them, or have support verify that they're active and can be used and apply them to your account.

had to be playing for a bit of time before they closed down. if you weren't you kind of SoL.

Enkidoh's reply is most accurate. A 1.0 registration code can be used as an ARR registration code and a 1.0 Collector's Edition code will grant the Onion Helm.

the code yes and but stuff like the tat and other goodies like your character stuff, your chocobo if you had, the alt intro and slightly different ARR ending, you had to be playing a bit before they drop dalamud and closed the server if they were talking about those goodies

Legacy tattoo is specific to characters created before 2.0. However any codes you got for redeemable items will work and be mailed to every character you have an an account wide item.
