And it's worth noting the RP community it likes to latch onto was practically invisible prior to this and very rarely featured in PF or shout outside of occasional seasonal events, to the point I was surprised to find out it even existed - I always assumed everyone immediately went to Balmung et al. for that sort of thing. The fact that it has grown so rampant even over here speaks to the sheer prevalence of the current "venue" scene, really.
It had always been a mission of the role play community to grow and expand role play to various other servers. It wasn't until world visit and later DC visit that those goals started to actually happen. Until that point, the role players mostly went to Balmung and for a bit Mateus because finding RP elsewhere was difficult.
