FFXIV with its beautiful graphics and character models could shine under a different, community based light. Any franchise could be revived through community content. Instead of making artwork contests, why not cutscene contests ? Emote creation contest in which the first place prize would be inclusion into the game

Question to SE: Have you ever considered releasing custom content creation tools to the community ? Maybe tap into the crowd sourcing power ?

Question to the forum community: What would you do with a FFXIV custom content creation kit ?

I'm just pitching that idea out there. I invite you to remain within the conceptual realm and talk about what could be done rather than drowning in "it's impossible" or "they'll never do it"

Idk, seems too limited imo, because its an online game. Community driven content thrives best when there are very few rules: aka single player games. When all it comes down to is getting a new model in the game, or a new monster design, people would tire of that real fast. I think an online game has too many rules in place to really make community driven content healthy and successful
