New island grind

the island as an excuse for people to stay subbed is pretty weak.

I know quite a few people, myself included, who arent really into their sweatshop islands and who stay subbed for completely different reasons

they likely just set up the timeframe so it lines up like that since they know people would be doing the new expansion, so planned, yes, to keep people subbed... I would not pin my hat on that theory

This system is actually the least sweatshop possible. Once you're max ranked you literally just have to copy whatever is in demand for that week and you're done.
