Using this as a way to try and shoehorn the argument of "Is it looking for another way to force people to stay subbed" isn't really a very strong thing to do.

You can literally buy it if you want, you can make the required Gil for this pretty quickly, and I think the price will also drop more once people have reached Rank 19 and got all of their workshops renovated., not to mention it is a completely optional reward and piece of content to engage in. If you want it, and don't want to engage in the system itself, then go grind and make the Gil for it, you can comfortably do this within 1-2 subscription windows. - Game. Literally. Throws. Gil. At. You.

On one hand, I’m glad it’s MB-able. On the other than, I’m disappointed it’s just another 10m of setting up weekly on top of the already unexciting 10m setup daily.

Based on the comments here, lootboxes seems more appealing than the hard vouchers. Where else does your mountain of gil can be spent on anyway..? Lol

I don't like that the voucher system seems like yet another attempt at making the island more annoying.

And by that I mean trying to divert players off of following the optimal recommendations from the people doing the math on all the boring stock market stuff.

If they wanted me to engage with that system and not just blindly put in what other people tell me to, they shouldn't have made it as obtuse and unfun as it is. All they did this time was make it less rewarding because now instead of listening to people on a discord I'm just blindly putting the required items on sub-optimal days, until there's a solver for it or something. It doesn't really matter for me at this point because I've earned over a million cowries and they probably won't add anything else to spend cowries on, but for people who haven't been maxing out their cowries the new vouchers are only going to get in the way of earning them.

So, at best the new system doesn't matter at all, and at worst it makes earning cowries worse. There's not really an upside, unless you really want to be unique and flaunt the one reward from it and ride what I assume is another mandy mount that most people won't have any time soon.
