I am all for helping someone who asks for help or needs it, but that guy wasnt asking for help he was bashing our game because he didnt understand the controls? I didnt troll him but dont blame those who did,
You never see what we had in ffxi in FFXIV the matter of fact have you played FFXI? there full of Rude player who think there better then anyone else. This is what the players become the days of "/sh help can i help it NM ???" and you get 10+ tell saying i would help is over. You may get players to help you out but they want a item or something from it.
You have players that would help but we would never have a good playerbase like old ffxi.
Yeh the XI community is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. though Abyssea changed that a little, if you need help outside it (such as maat quests) you can usually find it.
@Kilta_Firelotus
I never claimed to be the nicest person around
But you may need to rethink your approach.
You really do have double standards going on there...
- You say that you treat those rudely who deserve it (for treating others rudely) but that is what the others do too and yet you put your judgment above all.
- You call people names but when they say something you don't like you report them.
- you ask for a friendly community and yet you protect a OP of a rude/trolling thread.
I probably could speak for everyone here if i say that if someone asks politely, everyone who could, would help out.
ATM really many people left the game and most of those who stayed wait for the issues being resolved.
I am not much in the mood by being lectured by you how to behave.
There are many rude threads full of heated complaints and instead of protecting such threads like you did people should discourage those.
Look around, people try to make this a community, there are many constructive posts and topics, lots of reports, ideas and what not. Also some people try to create unrelated offtopic threads to get to know each-other.
Rude posts and trolling should be discouraged and not sugarcoated! Do not blame people for reacting strongly if someone comes along and shouts that the game is all BULL and wow is so much better.

Hyperbole doesn't help your point (actually, it flaws it), while I would have never thought i would have ever defended Kilta, I'm sure I don't need to make you aware of the fact that the forums have been open for more than two weeks by now, and an average of less than 50 posts a day is nowhere that strange for an active forum user.
maybe it is time not to try and dictate what other people do with their own time?
As for the community, it's not nearly as bad as many others, but there sure is a number of individuals that come here with the sole intent of drooling negativity and bashing the game and the ones that happen to appreciate any aspect of it. The excessive use of sarcasm, personal attacks and hyperbolic criticism (which is the most widespread problem) is a clear sign of that. Unfortunately that's a taint from which no game's official forum is ever free.
Some people simply seem to be completely unable to move on when they dislike a game.
Pity.

While a good community is always preferable to a bad one, I have to agree with Evangela on this one. That guy was an obvious troll. I'm sorry... even the stupidest person in the world wouldn't take 1 hour to figure out how to attack.
@ Abriael
I understand your reaction by looking at your post count but rest assured, i never meant to imply that a high post count in general is a bad thing.

Yeah no, you bash people if they have an opinion that you don't agree with and call them trollls.
Of course you're gonna consider yourself not rude, but i think everyone else would disagree with that.
Just saiyan
Don't worry, my reaction has nothing to do with my post count. I achieved enough in life not to really need to be reassured about the constructive use of my personal time
I'm just letting you notice how attacking someone on trivial and unrelated things like their post count, grammar/language or other personal details that have nothing to do with the matter at hand doesn't add any solid ground under your points. Quite the contrary.
if you have a point, you sure don't need that. If.
