Garuda's Difficulty

I join pick up party for this a lots. And generally almost 90% of the party (jp) can get garuda below around 40% hp before AB to skip the middle phase.

But even so, the failing rate is still high. Because this fight is really zero tolerance. 1/8 in the pt did something wrong because of lag, gf aggro or just stupid will guarantee a wipe. Like for the clones, not kill them fast enough then you get wipe by one hit death penalty.

This fight is asking ppl with high dmg and keep focus with no mistakes. It sure is a difficult fight but also it's a very boring fight. You just need to follow the strategy, with good equip and do all the steps correctly to beat it. Anything goes wrong, you start over and repeat again.

Ifrit and moogle on the other hand are more player friendly. Many of you should have experience that you had face an almost wiped situation but still manage to come back to victory.

But for Garuda, you are just playing with time bomb.

Its very rare to see well geared people to not know their class.

People are badly geared in the first place because tthey do nnot know their class iin the first place, there aare also badly geared people that THINKS they play better and make that as an excuse of their terrible gear.

You do not nneed double melds on most stuff, people that says that are mostly tthe one that have yet to beat tthe content and use it as an excuse of their either lack of skill , basic raid layout, or party sync.

It's almost as if when Phase 2 happens, everyone immediately drops what they're doing, throw their hands up and start running around, flailing and screaming.

You should know when AB is coming so the WHM should be getting everyone topped off have your BRD stoneskin everyone and make sure your WHM is using sentinel. Another thing you can try is having 2 WHM it makes it a bit easier post AB. In phase one though before AB have the second whm using stone/stonera on Garuda, its extra damage + adds a debuff that help BLM do more damage. Something very Important, after AB everyone gathers in the middle behind garuda its much easier to get behind garuda if she teleports if you are in the middle. If she teleports far away don't try to get behind her, run away from her after her attack get back in the middle.

Exactly no matter how good your gear is when it all comes down to knowing the precision of your job its either you got it or you don't. Gear is not going to give you the ability to make you play better thats all based on you and if you were Power Leveled then you might as well not go and hang it up. cause you know a thing about that job.

Yes people can still kill it, no you don't need the best gear possible, yes it is based on skill, no you don't need to manaburn it.
