Which do you prefer? Miqo'te or Au Ra?

I think the Miqo'te are better overall due to the Male and Female versions being great... Though the male version looks like he's constantly trying to firmly grasp something in both hands.

Male Au Ra are... Okay, but the female version is much better IMO. Though I don't like their weird standing idle stance, the female Miqo'te have the much better idle stance IMO.

If those were my only choices Id go with miqote for both genders.

Male Au Ra look too lanky and have terrible standing poses and run animations while female Au Ra are too short (even shorter than fem midlanders) and too young looking. Although they have great idles and animations.

Speaking purely for my own history of fantasia uses, I think I like my calico Miqo'te more. But it changes day to day. Later I might change my mind.

I think both are good, but au ra is my favourite i like the idles much better

Female? both are good Rn I'm miqo'te but i've been fem au ra a lot. Can't decide what I like better out of the two.

Male? easily cat boys!

For the girls, Miqo'te), they have more variety other than demure.

On paper I prefer Au Ra, I'd go as far as to say they're my favourite race in FFXIV. In practice, I... sadly don't like how they turned out, the men are too much and the women are too little. On top of which, I think their horns are weird, they barely have any scales (and the ones they do look... they don't look great, imo), their tails are pathetic and should've been at least double their current size...

I'm not that keen on Miqo'te myself, though I will say female Miqo'te probably have some of the best animations (even if they still lean very... cutesy). Overall I think they should've looked more like their FFXI counterparts, who had cat-like noses and fur*. They're just too human for my liking, and I'm actually a bit upset Viera have their nose outlines but Miqo'te don't...

*it's looking like we'll be getting at least one half in the form of female Hrothgar, which is... a disappointing way of handling it in more ways than one, if you ask me.

For male, l would take au ra. For female, cat girl. l wish this game is more alt friendly. Female au ra face 2 comes really close. I can only use a compromise solution by making most of my retainers female au ra

I dislike both the female designs, but I dislike Au Ra more.

So, male designs. I'm not bothered by some of the pose things that people complain about for both – the Miqo'te hand pose seems to be a deliberate catlike thing, and Au Ra's odd stance can be much improved by glamour choice, specifically wide-legged pants that balance out their upper and lower body shape better.

Overall I like both of them for different reasons, but I think I'm going to have to give the pick to Miqo'te for more gear versatility and their ear-wiggling joy emote.
