It's bullshit riddled with crowd control, 0 communication, can't play with friends, your progress is tied to the randomness of the idiots you match with, the latency is horrible, the balancing is fucked.

Just delete this and give us collectors a favour so we can skip this shit.

PVP in this game is a garbage fire, but the only thing worse than the gameplay is the childish behavior that losing---or just anticipating a loss---brings out in the players. Even without chat, people can and will find a way to make their petulant baby rage known to all present. It's not a real Crystalline Conflict match unless 1-3 people on your team are spamming "Good match!" every time the enemy team gains some kind of advantage. Frontlines chat is usually better, but just today my alliance had someone who was salty that we didn't win and was trying to assign blame.

Maybe PVP players would hold on to their sanity a little longer if the gameplay was halfway decent, and abilities worked when you pressed the button instead of 3 seconds later (or not at all), but I have my doubts.

Just don't play the mode you don't like.

"Don't point out the problems, just stop playing" isn't a solution when we're talking about the only permanent content in the game that's constantly cycling through limited time rewards---mounts, glamours, emotes, etc---that will never come back, not even in the cash shop. Why were emotes for common cutscene animations like /linkpearl and /determined made into limited time PVP rewards, instead of being made permanently obtainable in any other part of the game? Because people who didn't like the mode weren't playing the mode they didn't like, and SE didn't like that.

Frontlines is an experience that is unique in the game. For the most part, the chaos of being in an instance with 71 other players is awesome experience. I applaud it for being able to consistently queue up 72 players in less than 5 minutes.

That said, I understand that there are always going to be balance issues in such a flexible format; however, some mechanics are blatantly broken and entirely frustrating. I would hope that it would be in everyone's best interest that frontlines continues to draw new players and continues to retain current players. Telling players to leave because of broken mechanics seems short sighted.

You're a collector? Then you have to play every bit of content in the game. That means there's gonna be shit you don't like. PvP is amazing in my opinion. There are issues sure, but it's so much better than it used to be and the devs make a real effort to make it good. If you have issues with Crowd Control, there are ways to counter that. The best way to learn the movesets of the different jobs is to hook someone up in Wolves' Den and ask them to explain everything while showcasing it in the dueling arena. The most important things to know are:

1. Recuperation
2. Guard
3. Purify
4. Field-Elixir or whatever it's called in English (isn't the Monk ability called "Elixir-Field"? Then it's probably not Field-Elixir )
5. Sprint
6. Samurai LB
7. Sage LB
8. Dragoon LB
9. Ninja LB
10. Miracle of Nature

Positioning and LoS are super important and can be learned in the arena as well. You need to pretty much play and understand every job in the game to get the maximum fun out of the mode imo, which you as a collector are super well suited for.

Dancer LB can also turn the tide of a match if you're caught up in one of the environmental effects or in conjunction with some of the LBs.

I am having a lot of fun. This Is the best thing This game has done, and therefore l would even rank ew as the best expansion for that. I pay sub for lalafell And pvp Nowadays. You are a collector? Well, how about these glowing weapons locked behind ultimate? Are You going to spend 100+ hours progging dsr And top?
And You can play with friend. You just have to line up your queue with eorzean time in game. It Is just you might end up on different team. I did a testing. Just a blm and a reaper coordinating cc and burst can shred the other team. SE Is probably preventing that, but there are definitely better solutions.
