The main issue is the background of the knitting. It's a knit stitch when it should be a purl stitch (otherwise those cables won't show up nicely in the foreground of the knitting). The difference between those stitches is that the knit stitch looks like a 'v' while a purl looks like a '-'. I knitted up my best approximation of the pattern intended to be shown by the item to illustrate. Here's my knitting without any markup (I did one pattern repeat and a bit, and sorry I didn't have any yarn in the grey of the item, have some pink instead):

And here it is with some purl stitches marked in bright red:

For contrast, a screenshot of the Unfinished Shawl with a few background knit stitches highlighted in red:

A couple other minor problems: Where the back of the knitting is visible, the same texture as the front is used, which it shouldn't be (the back of knitting is usually very different from the front). Here's the back of my knitting to illustrate:

Also, there appears to be a "tear" in the mesh where the knitting needles split, that also shouldn't be there, the stitches from the previous row don't split or stretch like that. A zoomed in and highlighted image to show what I'm talking about:

As you can see in my knitting, there's no stretch or "tear" between the needles:

Thanks for your time looking at this, I hope you can make this knitter happy by making the knitting more realistic! <3
