    What was the goal of the shatter map rework

    The "reworked" shatter map is unplayable; I don't understand what the goal of the rework was—nobody fights people tunnel vision ice even more now. No one engages in PVP in the PVP game mode on this map. Previously on the old map, PVP actually happened; now every team is more or less in their own corner 90% of the game hitting the ice and rarely going for pokes at mid, and if an enemy team does PVP and gets battle high it's basically impossible to rally your team to do anything about it but continue to avoid fights and keep hitting the ice. Frontlines were in a much better state last year after the rework when everything was broken and it was the wild west versus the state its in now where any notable class that doesn't stink to play gets calls for nerfs. I dread to see how secure will come back i can only assume the goal of these frontline map reworks is to make sure the people that only do the daily roulette have as little actual engagement in pvp so they can get their exp and mucking up the game mode for those of us that like PVP.

    The goal was to make the game more accessible to utilizing second monitor content so players finally enjoy pvp

    Unfortunately i agree. The rework feels like overwork. Fixing what was not broken.


    If they want to create a ladder in PVP, they should add more maps and once you get higher rank, you won't be playing on beginner maps.

    Pvp happened on the older map because there were extended, long periods of downtime between ices. On the new one they made sure to remove said downtime to have them spawn all the time.

    If anything it's the ice shatter mechanic that's annoying everyone.

    I dont understand how they decided on reworking Shatter over Secure in the first place. Secure, Seize and Danshig needed higher priority.

    I agree 100%. It is absolute garbage. The map is better but the PvE mentality revolving around it is terrible. I queue for pvp to shockingly enough engage in pvp. I don't want to hit a target dummy. I skip shatter day whenever it is up as all it does is boil my blood.

    The map can be fun, people just play it wrong. If you engage in pvp, you stop the other team from breaking ice and they get less points.

    Anything is better than having a Monk camp at your base baiting people to the bridge during the entire match tbh.

    Just remove the ice mechanic and introduce a different type of control points that doesn't involve pve, problem solved.
