I really do hope you're trollingChat bubbles are a horrible idea. my bf said hed straight up quit if they implimented them. the amount of screen clutter would make the game unplayable
Asians don't want your chocolate in their peanut butter either.I'm happy to chat with and make friends with Europeans, and Asians just not Americans. The wider culture of the US lacks the emotional maturity to the point they are so polarised they need to infuse their political and social values into everything.
If you want a global chat then you going to have to deal with the culture shock. You bring the world together don't be surprised when people are put off by your culture due to how you act in other games and social media platforms.
It's discussed in every NN, by the way, mostly by the people who use it as one (crafter/gatherer mentors).
It's fulfilling its purpose in spite of this. It is true that the discussion should try to be kept related to a question that was asked or related to the game so that it educates new players.its not fulfilling its purpose
Where it gets really bad is when there is a discussion unrelated to the game, a heated argument, trolling, spam or spoilers. However, this does not always happen and it is really just on certain servers that it tends to happen, or after certain patches which cause a player to return who has a bad attitude.
I don't. That would be chaotic because out of the thousands of people logged in, one of the players in it will be obnoxious or cause problems.we wanna see a global/universal/server chat added to the game for EACh server so that players can connect anytime, anywhere regardless of fcs or instances.
I've seen it in other MMORPGs and I don't like it. I prefer the default chat to be /say and we have /shout if we need it.
When SE doesn't do this for anything else, it's unlikely they will do it for a global chat either. If one of those moderators steps out of line, it would reflect on them.to protect the chat from things getting out of line, moderators would be appointed.
/shout has often done a good job of that though. Word of mouth has as well because things go viral between FC chats, linkshells, the NN and discord.the global chat would be a good way to keep the games community connected together.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

You can tell your significant other that you can make it optional and then people can choose. The party member colour, the teleport tab sorting and UI theme are also changeable/optional.
It's like saying I don't like simple job gauges.
Might as well just call it the venue advertisement channel.
I think they dropped their /s but I found it for them.
Yeah a global chat would be great. When I was in Faerie the NN was kinda the unofficial Global Chat but would revert to being the NN if any questions popped up.
I'd also add in a Recruitment Channel for in game events like dungeons/fates/trains. I know the PF exists but sometimes I think a quick "Hey need 1 healer for X and G2G" is all that is needed.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
You can just make chat bubbles a toggle. Simple as that.
And yeah as others said, kinda hoping this is troll. One person said they'd quit so clearly it's a horrible idea
I think I would have to pass on global chat.
I have seen it often enough in other games to know its a bad idea. it only works if there is some form of moderation, and I think we can use the example of the forums, which should indeed be moderated, to know that SE would leave a global chat as the wild west and let people police it through reporting. people in general are not responsible enough to have a global chat. period.
Huh, that's weird. I had another part in that last post but it disappeared for some reason.
If they implement global chat, you can bet your ass I'll turn that shit off right away. Look at how shout chat is during hunts. Now imagine that all the time.
