what an absolutely idiotic and stupid reason to not want to be able to chat with other people online

I'm happy to chat with and make friends with Europeans, and Asians just not Americans. The wider culture of the US lacks the emotional maturity to the point they are so polarised they need to infuse their political and social values into everything.

If you want a global chat then you going to have to deal with the culture shock. You bring the world together don't be surprised when people are put off by your culture due to how you act in other games and social media platforms.
