    Blacklist update

I think when you put someone in the blacklist not only you should not be able to see anything that they type but they should also be invisible to you and you to them.

Makes people who troll and be nasty just... vanish when you put them onto the blacklist.

For example had a guy a few days ago spent over 3 hours in Limsa begging people for gil running around naked standing on top of players who were just trying to chill out and chat to friends. Sure adding him to blacklist meant you couldn't see him beg but it didn't stop him from being toxic in other ways.

If both the person you put on the couldn't see you anymore and you couldn't see them it would really punish those who are toxic by literally making it that if they annoy and upset enough people they will be walking into for example Limsa and seeing... No one. GL trying to be toxic and nasty when you can't see anyone and no one can see you or read anything you type.

    1. If blacklisted players are in your duty via duty finder this could prove a problem with them being invisible.

    2. Just report that person for harassment.

Baby steps. First, if you remove someone from your friendlist, you should also be removed from theirs.

Just another feature they don't care about. It's barebones. I think it was only added to get past basic marketing standards. U cant even bl sm1 harassing you in a duty and if u leave because sm1 is trolling you. You eat the penalty not them. If u kick them u get banned

It would be nice if all players had the option to effectively send someone to the void if they no longer wanted to deal with them. How cool would that be, right? To just make people disappear from the game on your end by typing their name into some kind of list. It would be like a list of people you'd voided from existence. A void list, of sorts.

It's absolute trolling on the devs' part that we don't have this in 2023. I played Maplestory in 2006 and even they had the good sense and technical know-how to design a friends list that deletes both ways. This "Feature" combined with player search, apartment listings displaying the user's location, lodestone IDs staying constant, and GMs doing absolutely nothing unless you say le naughty words in dutyfinder, etc. make it ideal for stalkers and harassment.

Yoshi's reason for Blacklists not removing you from someones friends list who you have blacklisted. Was that the devs dont want to hurt peoples feelings by suddenly removing one player from another players friends list. Think we can all agree if you black list someone you are not concerned about their feelings.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
