Hey peepz!

So my favorite part of this patches' story was the little baby Adzaja and I loved it so much in part because it shows a willingness to go out of your way to tell a story that you want to tell no matter the cost.

Think about it, they could have done a number of things with Azdaja that would have saved them the cost of having to create another model for her: They could have killed her off, which would have been a bummer and thematically inappropriate. They could have shrinked her model. They could have made her sleep for a long time so she can regenerate. They could have also made the consequences of her becoming a voidsent utterly meaningless and handwaved it with the power of her brother's eye, just reverting her back to her normal state which would have been horrible.

But they didn't, they gave her a new model, which is a classic dragon pup with upgrades textures and polygonal structure that include Azdaja's prominent features - the horns, the beak, the fur on her back, the feathery wings and that still works for a more serpentine body structure. That was the best thing they could have done imo. A cynic might say that adult Azdaja's model (which I think used the preexisting rig of Alte Roite, not sure tho) was wasted because we only saw her in three scenes or something. But I think it was worth putting in the extra effort to make it work!
