Or at worst, another Sage situation where it exists in other games but will have it's own identity in FFXIV.
Personally I don't really mind, being too strict about how jobs play in other games would mean they're either dead in the water or never even considered. Sage was a bit out there for me at first but I kind of enjoy seeing the "classic" jobs implemented even if the similarities end up being minimal.
