It's not meant to be Savage, this is for John Public so the mechanics are fine in their construction. However, everything hits WAAAAAAAAY too lightly, you shouldn't be surviving things with 3 vuln stacks. Plus some of the telegraphs are way too long, it means on runs 2+ it will be blindingly easy to avoid everything. All they needed to do was fiddle some numbers, increase some damage values and decrease some windup times and it would have been golden.

again with the critical thinking. youre asking for body checks on a 24 man alliance.. do you want to time out the instance on a daily basis? nobody would even run it anymore

pssst, I was hoping that my statement was an obvious jest. Of course I dont think they should make the raids be that stupid about every mechanic to be heavily punishing.

No. It was just about right.

If anything, it was probably a little too hard and/or too visually busy. It's annoying when you have to turn off spell effects to even see tells.

But for general community content (e.g. not Extreme/Savage/Ultimates), it was the right difficulty. It was certainly not "too easy", no.

    Yea, it's definately too easy.
I still don't know how there are toddler level mechanics to dodge that barely even hurt you. Like, if you have super easy dodge stuff then AT LEAST make it hit hard or something. When you combine braindead mechanics and on top of that those do nothing then why even play the game at this point lmao

Agree to disagree. The Myth raid bosses didn't feel like Alliance Raid bosses at all. I'm sure most of us aren't even asking for Extreme/Savage/Ultimate difficulty, but something that... actually feels like a raid (it's kinda sad Labyrinth of the Ancients and World of Darkness are more raid-like than the Myths of the Realm raids. Heck, some dungeon bosses have more "raid-like" mechanics than most Myth bosses). It's why some of us bring up Ivalice a lot, because that was "just about right" difficulty. They weren't hard, but they also weren't complete pushovers.

I have some runs that go smoothly and some that are disasters. That means it's tuned perfectly.

As some others said the problem in general with all alliance raids is that the damage is too light on the players.

Remember when Thunder God Cid was kicking lalas, and taking names before he got nerfed? Yeah I wish they had never done that to Cid.

The biggest let down of the raid was how boring the final fight was. No big interlude cutscene attack, no second phase, nothing really special. Felt kinda phoned in just using the same exact abilities from previous raids with nothing really special or interesting about them as a mixup.

Unless it was just some extreme meta commentary on how hard SE lazily recycles things?

Bosses spends so much time staying on ‘tutorial mode’ teaching something we already recognize from previous dungeon/trial/normal/ARs. Like, why do you need Eulogia to spend 2 and a half minute from the start just to show you how to properly solve a left/right/donut TWICE? The Whorl phase up to Eudaimon Eorzea is probably the only part that I genuinely liked alongside Llymlaen’s corridor. Both Eulogia & Llymlaen are my favorite part of the raid.

The first trash pull is a fond reminder of Ridorana trashes. But with so many sustenance from EW capstone kits, all I had to do was to vomit other lesser used buttons that I normally don’t get to use under normal circumstances & go back half paying attention. One of our entire group died in my first run so I’m gonna assume neither of their party member expected that degree of combustion raidwide coming from the sprites, which suffice to say; it’s moot point cause in all my subsequent 8 runs it never happened anymore.

    Thaliak was a Zodiark simulator.

Oschon has nothing to be remembered outside stepping into his bad stuff incurs way higher damage than usual.

I’m just gonna say they ‘felt better’ than the first two raids simply because (a) not as power creeped as much yet & (b) it’s not Euphrosyne degree of “let’s mash all differently painted half room cleaves”-garbage. That’s how low I’ve been deconditioned & wishing for something that bites me as much as Weeping City, Dun Scaith, NieR and Return to Ivalice did.
