Is Endwalkers alliance raid too easy?

Im just curious if its just me feeling this. But do the alliance raids feel a lil too easy this expansion? I recall Ozma, Thunder God and even Construct 7 breaking up alliances back then but boi did it feel rewarding when we all cleared it. I'm honestly not sure if we just become that good at the game or if they really are that easy?

I find it way too easy. I did the last raid on release, everyone was new, and still not a single wipe. Like honestly. It's supposed to be the 5th or so endgame after so many expansions and SE still treats this like some sort or tutorial.

On the other hand I really liked the trial where I actually had to heal and raid wides came out more often than once every two minutes. Good job.

Yes. Way to easy. It feels like they tuned it to 6.3 gear and forgot we have had time to fully gear whatever jobs we have. This latest, ran blind, got 3 vuln as White Mage, get hit again and no death, there's just no teeth to it. Visually, thematically, they are great. Mechanically, these are just meh. Not as bad as CT, just cause you are at least 90 and I can't be bothered with a lvl 50 kit.

A lot of the difficulty of 24 man raids has always been the other players, and it seems like these raids don't give your teammates as many opportunities to get you killed.

It's either the fight tuning or the way current job design interacts with the fights, imo. The fights have cool mechanics but nothing feels like it has any impact. This exp is the only AR series where there haven't been multiple wipes for the first couple weeks after release. There's no learning curve!

I died a few times on my run, but there were definitely times when I thought "There should have been something else here".

Some of the mechanics just felt overall incomplete. I would also say that the overall outgoing damage just doesn't feel like it is there.

IMO though it still beats the HP sponging on Nier raids. Those were just outright bad, and boring, with very little appeal.

Well yeah. Of the 12 bosses, only Nald'thal has a mechanic that requires personal responsibility (the scales). Every other boss is just "avoid AoE" and that's it (heck, in the new 24man raid, the stack markers don't even target three players from different alliances. Only the tank buster does). Trials and 8man raids have more personal responsibility/raid mechanics than the 24man raid.

Boss HP also seems to be tuned to minimum ilevel rather than i650. This wouldn't be a problem if every boss didn't tutorialise every single mechanic one at a time.

Went in blind, died about 5 times over the run. Our healers were light on healing as they already knew the raid and were in all top raid gear, so if I got hit twice in a row I was just dead as a squishy caster. Would have been much easier if I watched a video first or waited for the half-hour tank queue.

We had a lot of deaths between the three groups but no wipes. Seemed fine to me for content designed to be cleared by PUGS, especially as one of our raid teams was mostly pre-made of high-end raiders.

I thought Thaeleia actually had some decently tricky mechanics compared to Agalaia and Euphro, but maybe that’s just because of a blind run and recency bias. Ivalice was definitely the sweet spot for AR difficulty.

The bigger issue is the lack of mechanics that are made for the 24 man format. Closest we got this series was the balance mechanic kinda, a couple of Halone mechanics like the add phase l and uhhh that’s it I think? In past alliance raids you have fights that split the alliances up into different roles or just different part of the maps. Where were the ring arenas like Thunder God, Ozma, and Hobbes? Or just mechanics where you have different groups of players doing different mechanics than other groups. Design like this takes advantage of the 24 man format and adds to the sense of scale.

Overall I was very happy with Thaelia but all of the mechanics are just solved by the whole group in the same way and could’ve been 4 or 8 man content. I did enjoy the final boss and all of the mechanic callbacks though, that was really cool and special.

The first trash pull almost wiped my group cause none of my healers expected so many explosions at once. Otherwise it wasn't super hard, granted I have tank privilege on my side.
