The point is it possible to change thing that way, and they should if they could. And should be continued to be pushed that way instead of saying "just force" people to do it this way. So do you at least agree that it's still possible to fix thing this way? Why you would argue less optimal and more invasive fixed when there are proof it's possible to do so otherwise.
Again, find a way to reward people so they want to play the content, don't force people to follow your (unfair) rule because that's how you teach them to resent it.
Except that wasn't what you said?In what universe is telling you not to queue if you dislike something gaslighting, my guy? Come on.
Here, let's me do it again for you:
Light, I even highlighted it for you ... come on.So given the choice, I'd much prefer they force everyone to unlock all the raids so we actually have a roulette and not CT spam even though it will obviously remain the most frequent due to new players leveling. If that means some people refuse to touch Alliance Roulette again because they only want easy mode. Cool. Don't queue.
I'm someone who spend week and months in savage/ultimate, yet I still avoid Ivalic/Neir raid. Difficulty and length ain't the issue here.
I had repeat many times that length/complexity isn't the reason why people avoid certain instance (with Castrum/Pret served as the example), we avoid it because the compensation is inadequate. Make those unpopular raid worth my time, and I'll do it. People gravitate toward CT not only because it's "easy", it's because the reward balance is completely out of whack. Do you want another example? What is the main complain about criterion dungeon again?
If the reward to effort/time in CT is 1:1, then in Ivalice it's like 1:2. That's why people don't do it. If CT is 1:1 and Ivalice is like 2:2 or 2:3 and people STILL refuse to do it, then yeah maybe you have a valid point. Otherwise, keeping insisting people avoid Ivalice simply because they just want it's easy or it's braindead while ignoring the more important factor ... then well ... You may call it fact, I call that gaslighting, and we'll just have to disagree.
And issue I see here is as a long as you're treating that as the core issue, which I don't think it is, you'll never recognize the true issue. For some reason you decide it's better to blame your fellow players base of being brain-dead and want it easy which exist plenty evidence to the contrary, rather take SE to task to create a better system.

Hello, yes hi, I'm this player. This is a good change, it actually makes it more random instead of just CT. Sure, you can argue that a choice within 3 is 'random' but I prefer a little more unpredictability.
I read your other post as well, and you yourself must also admit that you are probably the common FFXIV player. Which is fair, some people aren't, but you cannot expect that your playstyle is facilitated in every change they make for the general playerbase, can you?
I got somewhat screwed over by this, as a newish player. Level 80 and right at the end of stormblood / start of shadowbringers, ILVL 400 with stormblood poetics gear. It was definitely a WTF moment to log in and find myself locked out of alliance raids due to a requirement that was literally impossible to meet at my current point in the story!
I understand the need to stop people cheesing Crystal Tower, but you now have a situation where a new player doing normal progression is punished for leveling up too much by getting locked out of alliance raids, which kinda sucks if you do roulettes mainly for fun (I do them when I'm not up to doing more MSQ plot, and only play 3 classes, so tend to overlevel a fair bit)
A solution to consider: Maybe use the new ILVL table, but with the later restrictions only coming in when you've progressed MSQ up to the point that the new raids are available to you, so a lv80 character who is still in the Stormblood patch content is treated as lv70 for the purposes of ILVL requirements. Maybe have a limit of how many levels you can drop using this method (say 15) to handle the case where a really dedicated cheeser makes a character and only plays up to HW, while reducing the likelihood that someone playing normally gets caught out by overleveling
"Honest" people always end up penalized because of things that "dishonest" people will do. We see that just as much in real life as in game.
For now the situation is what it is. Perhaps SE will review and make additional changes, perhaps not.
In the meantime, no one is being locked out of Alliance Raid roulette except through their own inaction. All you need to do is upgrade your gear to match your job level. It is not expensive to do at this point in the expansion, especially if you've leveled your crafting alongside your favored combat job or have friends who are crafters.
For the poster who stated earlier in the thread that they like have their name in the Maker's Signature spot on their gear, you could just make your gear and solve the problem. You won't be able to gather the base materials but you can purchase them and/or the intermediate material off the market board. The intermediate materials for Classical and Rinascita gear are pretty cheap thanks to desynthesis. Don't have the recipes? Farm up the white crafter's scrip and buy them. You do not need to have reached EW MSQ to buy Master IX and X books. I learned them months ago on one of my own alts that's just started on Shadowbringers MSQ a couple of weeks ago. The gear doesn't need to be HQ - the only thing that matters is the ilvl listed on the gear.
If you truly enjoy Alliance roulette, don't keep yourself locked out of it over such a minor thing that is easily solved.
The ilvl restriction is a slap to anyone playing the game. All they had to do was put CT in its own roulette and everything would be fine. Instead we got something needlessly complex that just causes problems.
Why didn't they just make it require the item level of the highest unlocked alliance raid duty?
Oh, don't bring logic into this. You'll scare half the forum away.
SE: "We are now forcing everyone regardless if they're level 50, 60, 70. 80, 90, or 200 to be ilvl 565 to use the Alliance Raid Roulette!"
Also SE: "Why is no one doing the Alliance Daily Roulettes?(("
