I've played on both sides of the pond, and the only difference I've noticed between the two is the lack of random people shouting in French. The EU even has its own version of Balmung to serve as a prison for the degenerates, although it does seem like they escape more often.
We even have NA players on EU and EU on NA, people who have problems with Time-Zones, and cant play during prime time.
