What's going on Frontlines?

Square did announced something related to rewards/pvp? in years of playing PVP I never saw such a devastating and horrible people every single game.



I don't mind losing but every single match is just getting destroyed while the two other alliances are having fun while ours can't even approach.

My alliance : 100 points
The rest : 1200/1000

Today I played 6 games in a row and all of the same we lost horrible bad because half of the raid is basically afk, or not paying attention at all people playing DPS ending with 5-10k damage in a full 20 minutes match like seriously.

It's the last week of the PvP series, lots of people who don't normally PvP are trying to close it out.

That said, I've had a really weird opposite experience to yours while powering an alt to series rank 25 this week, and I only ever solo queue.

Sometimes it feels like the match making system plays favorites, or picks on people, from week to week.

i just play the mode man, beyond that i don't care one lick about winning or losing.

Are you solo-queueing?
Cuz I can tell you, only people who queue together in a party ever get wins. It's a sad reality of Frontline and it's a main contributor of why it's the worst game mode in FFXIV.

I will admit I was being hyperbolic but it's not too far off.

Premade groups do ruin the balance of FL matches and can lead to some really unfair matches, especially when they involve two or more DRK, DRG, and/or AST. They straight up just synergize too well together in FL.

I do, and I worded that too smugly I think, so I apologize.

Good party play in Frontlines highlights the issues people have with things like...

The out of control crowd-control
Emphases on AoE bursting
Overtuned personal shielding
The CRIMINAL abundance of "get out of jail free" abilities that allow individuals to get away with making insanely dumb decisions (elusive jump, sky high, phalanx, Eventide, etc.)
The damage reduction bandaids slapped onto the gamemode that further facilitate insane aggressive zerging
Tick-rate that can't keep up with 72 people clustering together

All things people have taken to abusing through even mediocre levels of coordination.

Rather than addressing these, tons of people would rather the source of their immediate aggravation be taken away, but that doesn't fix the issues.

It may be your reality, however I can assure it most definitely is not the case for everyone.

I cannot agree more, Frontline roulette needs to be solo queue only
