I haven't seen any posts about it on lodestone.

If it's anything like PlayStation, you'll very likely need to buy a separate XBOX license to your service account, which means buying the Complete Edition from the ground up, though your character progress remains.

We should wait for an update on the Lodestone though. Dunno if XBOX would wanna make the Windows license cross platform. We'll have to wait to see.

That is an interesting idea, but they didn't do it with other platforms, so I doubt it. Xbox versions of games tend to be sold separately from the PC versions.

It would be ideal to pay a smaller fee for other platforms (whatever cut goes to that platform), but it's probably in part the amount of extra work to implement it but also because of the fact they don't sell the game on these platforms just themselves, but let other retailers sell it as well. Other retailers can't know that you already own it on another platform and therefore can't discount it. If SE stopped letting other retailers sell it, they would probably find it easier to discount the price for multiple platforms.

Letting other retailers sell it is important purely so that it can be on their main store ie. Steam store, Xbox game store, Playstation store. These websites/apps cannot know that you already own the game on eachother's platforms and therefore can't discount it, so when you take the code and add it to the mog station it's too late to discount it. SE could maybe refund everything but the cut the platform takes but that's all I can think of.

SE could also just discontinue selling the expansions that way and only sell expansions themselves directly, so the only thing that requires multiple fees is the game itself and not expansions, and make this cost platform-independent.

The base game itself is virtually just the first subscription fee as well, so it's virtually free.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."
