    I don't remember if the bombs that blew up the towers were tankable or not. If they aren't then you can have DPS do it, they just need to pay attention to something other than DPSing and understand they are gonna spend a lot of time losing DPS, that's why it made sense for tanks to just take care of it when you had 6.

    This is a little bit offtopic, but I have to say that I don't think this is a good idea. One of this game's biggest weaknesses is that it takes new players a very long time to get to the new stuff. This will just increase that and could potentially drive sprouts away.



    I also think the optional dungeons/trials/raids present a golden opportunity - that the devs are currently wasting - to create a much-needed "Hard" category of content to bridge the gap between Normal and Extreme Trials. That gap is just insane in Endwalker (and in Shadowbringers for that matter). You go from "have to try to wipe" in normal content to mechanic combos like Flamespire Brand/Sweeping Immolation in EX5 (arguably one of the easiest extremes this expansion). There needs to be a new stepping stone at current endgame if they are going to keep increasing the difficulty like this and expect new players to not be discouraged. Optional raids and trials would be perfect for that, but they can't be mandatory if so.

    Doesn't actually change anything besides artificially making the fights longer. Gear is already beyond worthless in this game.. Why do people want it to be even more useless?

    I think a better method is using the carrot to tie completion to other things, like they're doing with Tataru and the Mandervilles. It loses the aspect of being a theme park MMO if we're forced to go on every ride.

    This. I would literally stand around doing nothing after the phase transition in Endsinger so sprouts could see more of the dialogue and we would still never see anywhere near all of it.

    I was so glad I played it on release rather than later, or the emotional impact would just be... gone.

    Let sprouts see the cool stuff for everything! Saying people will quit harder synced content immediately is disingenuous... how many times have I sat in a group wiping to Omega? 100% of times we get there in the end.

    The key word being AFTER clearing it at the appropriate item level. Most players have never cleared content at this level. Your first experience in content is valuable and, more often than not, this IS a steamroll now.

    If I want to steamroll something then I will go farm it unsynced. There should be a balance between retaining the original experience for new players and convenience.

    I am not sure I understand why anyone would want to "steamroll" content in the duty finder.

    Doing things unsync? Sure, I get that.

    However, I question the desire to make all in-game content excessively easy to the point where it loses its challenge. The sync system was intentionally implemented to prevent such a scenario.

    This isn't a change that's being requested, it's fixing what used to work but has since been broken with new class additions and potency increases.

    Thordan and Shinryu should have item level sync as well. Due to changes to the battle system at ShB launch and actions generally having higher potencies, a simple item level sync wouldn't be enough in order to see all boss mechanics before they go down.

    They would need to increase HP on the boss and adds by at least 15%. Maybe even more.

    Hades would be fine if you set an item level sync at 440. That's 10 levels above the Lv80 AF gear.

    The 570 sync for Endsinger is 10 levels above the Lv90 AF gear.

    Regarding op, yeah it is way too easy to do some things now and it's pretty sad. I think it'd be more interesting if content stayed how it was at level (i.e. expansion updates only applied to new content so 3.0 still had 3.0 skills and rotations) but I know most people would absolutely hate that.

    You can do min ilvl and it's still easier than it was before, gear really doesn't have anything to do with it at all.

    No degree of item level syncing is going to fix that.
