Groan please no.Yoshida also commented about some topics during the downtime on a liveblog.
Summary/Highlights:
- If there is a lot of feedback asking for it, the team could continue to update Island Sanctuary after 7.0
- Plans for major "Lifestyle"-type content in 7.0, similar to Island Sanctuary.
- For the 7.0 Unreals, it's possible that Endwalker level 90 fights could be updated for level 100.
Honestly, as much as I loathe that dumb factory, I'd rather they keep updating it than dropping it entirely and do "Island Sanctuary 2.0." It just.... I don't know, feels like it's a waste of time and resources.
While going through the patch notes and eventually coming across that image of the new mandragora mount I initially thought it was flying on a flowery fart cloud... lol

That’s cool, but I was thinking/hoping they might make those raids mandatory for the MSQ but I guess not…
Guess we’re not taking Eden to the 13th then… darn! lol

Originally the Crystal Tower raids were like this. Completely optional and your reward for doing them down the line was the extra dialogue and such with the Exarch both before and after the reveal. Then they made CT required MSQ, because it was so important to ShB's story. Depending how big this branching path is...they might go back and make Eden MSQ. Though, in my opinion, they should first work on making Binding Coils MSQ, because that has a lot of important story bits and ties up loose ends in regards to what happened with Bahamut during the calamity. It also shows you where the hell Alisae went during the whole of ARR!
Naw, this is really good because it means there some acknowledgement for that elephant in the room and theyre putting some effort into it for both sides who didnt bother and for those that did.
Making it mandatory for MSQ is not the answer
