I'm sure if you say his name enough times he'll close a thread.

Funny thing about respect. It goes both ways or it does not function at all. There have been people who've given Roiken his earned dose of respect and not received it in kind when it comes to feedback about his thread creating. Even while I've been harsh in his critisim, I still get that he has a pourpose behind him. But he's beyond the point where his is doing his own cause no credit. Wherever you want to lay the blame, him posting support behind one of his ideals at this point now discredits that ideal by default - that's how bad his reputation has become here, deserved or not is irrelevant at this point.

He needs to seek a different course of behavior if he cares at all about his own credibility or the success of his goals. And if he does not care about either, then at that point he crosses the line between standing for his beliefs, and blatant trolling.

It's not as if people are unwilling to discuss his ideas. But he needs to learn moderation, in the number of threads his posts and he needs to learn organization in properly displaying his ideals as a whole, rather than breaking each aspect of an ideal into individual threads. As I stated before about his most recent forum flooding: The entirty of his idea span could have been condensed down into a "I want to extend party playtime." thread, listing his ideas under that canopy. It would have made it a lot easier to explain why people disagree with the premise, and provide examples on how some of his more general wishes are already being met by gameplay, as well as offering alternatives to meet the same goal without narrowing the game's appeal.

As it stands, the discussion on the general topic is now split between a handful of locked threads and one derailed argument. That's a good example as to how his methods sabotage his intentions.
