Would be cool if the maps were random when you joined the Crystaline Conflict instead of random in order to make it more interesting when grinding.

Better idea: Make it so that you can manually queue into each of them individually, or randomly all at once.
Like with Chocobo Racing.
No even better, how about We get the ability to DUO QUEUE in casual, or how about some role restrictions regardless of Queue times. Tired of getting 2-3 healers ever match of CC or having an all dps team. Give some structure to this godforsaken mode of pvp. Control the CC in the game. And if you're gonna give us maps with heavy PVE elements, make sure you balance them correctly please. I love and hate this mode so much. Just act right and give us the right things.
I think the map rotation is good for ranked with how certain jobs just function better on some maps vs others, so having that level of planning would is cool. I do think having it be random for casual would be better overall though.
Came here to say this.
There are some maps that are absolutely unkind to certain jobs, like Volcanic Heart being brutal to casters.
The map rotation is necessary for rank even if does sucks, jobs like warrior/reaper/dragoon/dancer benefit heavily off map design in addition to having some already good kits all around.
How so? BLM and SMN literally nuke everything with AoE in those confined corridors, and some of those nukes even ignore walls, to make up for the higher probability to get LoSed.
RDM has always been super mobile and most of its potency is not into the filler casts so I'm not sure the map is such a problem for it either.
Ehhhh who cares. If its random, that makes it more interesting, because you have to play to disadvantages, and advantages. I'm tired of people expecting to be perfect and optimal exactly as planned in every game mechanic. I want a sense of random challenge here and there. People who want the opposite ruin the game, and make everything get excessively streamlined.
I don't think randomization for maps is terrible for casual, it works quite nice actually and I think its crazy it's still not like that.Ehhhh who cares. Just ranked won't be more interesting because of map randomization, its already up to chance with teams and the coordination between them, so having means of a guarantee that the map is enjoyable to play on is nice.

I'd argue part of Ranked integrity should be being able to play on any map at any given time and learning how to play them with the job(s) you play equally. Like most other games.I don't think randomization for maps is terrible for casual, it works quite nice actually and I think its crazy it's still not like that.

If map or job adjustments are needed for this because specific combinations of maps and jobs are bad or unplayable, chances are one and/or another were less well designed than intended.
