Sure, Freud. The reason they tell you to take a break is simple: they cannot handle any criticism. Their ego is tied to the game, and the moment you criticize the game, it's as if you personally insulted them. The lengths at which they go to harass, witch-hunt, and doxx criticizers, not to mention some who even sent death threats to those who criticize, says it all.
The perfect response to "the game isn't suiting me and I'm unsubbing until DAWNTRAIL" is apparently to resub in a patch lull and make complaint threads.
Coming from the user who often gets banned by the mods. None other can manage to achieve such a feat.
The lengths you would go at against fellow forum poster....

Not discounting your opinion, but I skim-read your post and thought you were actually talking about this game until the last few sentences, lol.
I've been playing a long time, and, well, not so much in defence of OP but unhappy players in general, I personally find it pretty hard to imagine FFXIV being much worse than what it is now, especially compared to when I started. I'm having a "rechecking the empty fridge" moment myself and nothing has changed the fact that the game feels horribly mismanaged and boring to play right now. If anything, it only feels more obnoxiously flawed, because you're actively up for playing only to find there's nothing interesting to do.
aright.. enough is enough.Just think of all the people making money from FF14 players, from fanart ($100 sometimes) to making mods (some of which is literally ripping assets from other games and selling it for $30), of all kinds, to streaming, and to other types of "activities" (like reselling houses on Omega for $800) while laughing at the horrid state of the game and its players in private. There are a lot of paypigs to exploit, this is well-known. People will pay $200 to make an ugly custom portrait for their in-game character to use on Discord because they're addicted to the game and to their character.
Vultures, perhaps? But while FF14 is becoming a joke of a game, the vultures are eating well.
In fact, the worse the game becomes, the better it is for the vultures, as players start to rely on third-party content, ToS-abiding or not, to continue engaging in the community. How many players in FF14 are only subbed because they paid $200 to make their custom IMVU character with custom ToS-violating bodies and poses?
seriously. how dare you call hard working artists like ME vultures. you have not a single bone of talent in your body, you've never done a hard days work in your life, and you have the nerve to sit here and call me a vulture. you pay a minimum of $20 a month... to sit on these forums and constantly harass/attack and berate your fellow player. you are the vulture here, not people like me. just trying to pay my bills, and put a smile on somebodys face when i draw there character that means so much to them, and you needn't look far to find those people. seriously, who are you to try and dictate what people should be allowed to enjoy... because you, the talentless have absolutley no creative spark other than to rage bait the fellow forum users, well congrats, you've got me offended. i hope you're happy with yourself. really, because its one of very few accomplishments you'll have in your life if you keep acting this way
People take it too seriously. But all jokes aside, PLAY OTHER GAMES. The game has no shortage of content. You just pick what you want to do and ignore the others. It's okay to run out of stuff. There are patches to look forward to for new stuff.
Hm, well - in hindsight I've only been playing FFXIV for close to two years at this point and probably don't see what the long-term players see.Not discounting your opinion, but I skim-read your post and thought you were actually talking about this game until the last few sentences, lol.

Still, if nothing else, I'll always appreciate the lack of lootboxes!
Respectfully, I have been playing other games most of Endwalker. It is impossible for me to burn out of a game that I am not playing. But that doesn't seem to stop people from misunderstanding the nature of the situation.
