Then take a break if you're not having fun.
They were able to figure out those things you look back at fondly all on their own, I'm sure they can do it again without your constant "woe is me, the game sucks, and no it's not my own burnout."

Let's stop lying here please. You come to the forum to start wars. You call it the "wrong direction" but who dictates what's wrong? It not being for you doesn't make it wrong as you don't own the game. News Flash, CBU3 don't give af about you and your "time". They get you money monthly regardless if you play or not. For someone so "wise" I'd think you'd get this by now. Apparently not.I'd love to play FFXIV. That's why I go to the forums I guess, in the hopes that the game will finally stop going in the wrong direction and actually compete for my time again instead of releasing dead on arrival content and turning away from the writing and elements I used to enjoy in it.
Sadly these days I cannot find anything fun or worth doing. It's especially frustrating when (usually newer) players tell me I'm supposedly burnt out or to just take a break...I can't burn out of a game that I'm not able to play because of the lack of worthwhile content. I've been on break pretty much the whole expansion.
I can't believe the mmorpg that gave me stuff like the Ivalice Raids and Shadowbringers storyline has become a ghost of it's former self. FFXIV deserved better.
You then lie and claim you aren't able to play. Let's fix that. You simply choose not to play because the game doesnt cater to your every whim. That's 100% a choice of your own.
XIV deserved better? By your logic I'd say SE is doing perfect. They have goofs still paying them yet not interacting with their game due to dislike of it. Any company would kill for that free money.
Honesty as much as I have my dislikes of certain aspects of the game, I still love other sides of the game, housing, PVP,socializing, the crafting system and venues, that's usually why I get annoyed when I complain and I get told "just quit"Let's stop lying here please. However Aveyond should honestly just quit, dude just spends his time creating novels to tell us how "better" his storytelling is and that the game is made for fortnite players and should "compete" for his time
just leave dude, this game aint for you, it'll never be, he literally hates the game yet subscribes to the forums just to complain about it

And I can fully understand that as ik we've spoken on what you like before. Sure we rarely agree when it comes to the game BUT I'd never take away or minimize what you enjoy. This dude on the other hand seems to enjoy nothing. I generally only suggest quitting to folks like him as there's nothing here for them per their own words. Both he and folks like Neumenon or whatever his name is as you pay just to talk on forums. It makes no sense. CBU3 isn't gonna one day go "well it seems this one person has said they don't like anything about our game in 100 different ways so I guess we should change it to his liking". It's a pipedream.Honesty as much as I have my dislikes of certain aspects of the game, I still love other sides of the game, housing, PVP,socializing, the crafting system and venues, that's usually why I get annoyed when I complain and I get told "just quit"

While I myself didn't find much issue with the recent interviews those alone paints a clear picture where the game is going 7.0 onward. If you didnt like that may be time to rip the bandaid off n save yourself some money. Just maybe.

Thank you for supporting a game financially that you don't play so that the rest of us can. You are truly doing the Light's work.

Isn't it interesting how lately in every other live letter and interview, Yoshi P will announce or reveal something and justify it with "it was creating too much stress so we're dialing back"?I'd love to play FFXIV. Once or twice seems fine, but it's been 2 years of "it is too much stress so we're dialing back".
With rumors of a significant chunk of their team quitting in protest of the vision of the game, one cannot help but wonder if no one there is actually interested in making a game anymore.![]()

I would rather they be less concerned with "stress" and get back to making a game that has encounters that aren't as easy as the Myths of the Realm raids and stories that aren't written for people who get overwhelmed by scenes in which consequences happen.Isn't it interesting how lately in every other live letter and interview, Yoshi P will announce or reveal something and justify it with "it was creating too much stress so we're dialing back"?

I do play this game. You have to at least log in once a fortnight to use the Forums, you know...
I take breaks, usually to play a 1P game that came out recently (just finished Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, though I took a break from that at the 2/3 mark to play Pokémon Scarlet: The Teal Mask DLC), but while I'm not exactly happy with the relative dearth of content (we only get one dungeon per patch now... seriously... makes Roulettes stale as all get out after X.1) I still enjoy the game when I play it.
