Have to admit, whilst the new Raid set is.... uninspiring by their own merits, they do look like a blend of the Aglaia and Euphrosyne sets and therefore should mix & match fairly well with both.

About the only piece of gear from any alliance raid that I've liked was the Copied Factory caster dress (and I'd like it better if I could use it for dancer glam, but I digress). I've used one or two other pieces here and there, but never a whole set. Most of them feel either bland and generic (Nier, Ivalice) or overdesigned and covered in too much stuff.
Also still think they missed an opportunity with the Paradigm's Breach sets, the tank gear should've been the YoRHa assault armor from Route C of Nier Automata, but that's another thread.
I'll put my tinfoil hat on and say they don't care anymore if the default appearance of gear sets is dull and generic looking cuz we're getting double dyes in 7.0 anyway.
Also, mandatory 'caster/healer robes suck' comment.

I enjoyed all three of the 24 man and also the series of 8 mans. EW has the best set of normal raid sets for my tastes outside Edengate from ShB and Republican from PvP. I have a love if Holy/Divine and Greek themed sets so happy as can be.
I feel like they dropped the ball on Thaleia's gear sets. They look worse, but honestly have to see it in game.
Thats ultimately what I desire. I may personally not like the raid's clothing aesthetics but couldnt they have least made more an effort to give each set its own unique look?I think the sets actually refer to them, but just one at a time. Judging by a some slight references within the sihouette and elements, Aglaia seems to be based on Nadl'Thal, Euphrosyne on Menphina, and I can assume then that Thaleia is about the not yet revealed last boss.
Said that, I wish the designs could reference more than just the last boss, it would create a bit more diversity in the visuals, while keeping cohese with the theme.

Well... there's always the old Twelve-themed PVP sets...
Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!

At least we have those yeah.
But still couldve used the opportunity to give us the other half of the Twelve that were missing from those sets with this Alliance raid gear.
Some of those old sets like the Halone fending gear looked really unique in terms of modeling. Compare that to the samey ones weve gotten in these raids and youll see that the someone in the art team has been slacking.
Actually I would also extend that to the music team as well since the other raids usually had different music for each boss but lately theve been sprinkling the same boss theme and leaving the last one to be different. It screams of cheapness and thats sad, since one of the best parts of FFXIV is its sound design.
I think the problem is that alot of the set's lately seem to have fallen flat and lack flair or interesting design. I think the designers just need some new inspiration at this point and are either running on empty or they're overwhelmed with other stuff trying to sort it out.

sadly i dont agree, aglae had gorgeous sets i still wear and that thalae tank set is on my list too. its all personal preferenceI'm just gonna say this now. I personally think the whole Endwalker Alliance raid sets have been extremely sleepy and boring. I understand the theme behind it being all about fantasy Greek Mythology in their designs but they really could've gone all out with perhaps making each set be its own unique thing (perhaps each role referencing a bit to one of the Twelve's looks?) rather than it all be uniform.
And this isnt just another Endwalker content bad thread, I felt the same with the ever popular Nier raid sets where they also suffered from the same monotonous designs even though the sets are referencing the style from Nier. But IMO the Nier style designs I find it too boring to pass off for cool alliance gear in the first place.
I think we truly peaked with the Ivalice gear sets. Sure it also suffers from designs replicating the style of a game; namely FFXII and Tactics but at least the designs are unique and colorful and do fit with the FFXIV aesthetic.
I wonder if anyone of you also feel this way with the recent Alliance raid sets from EW and Shb
