Yea, but it wasn't entirely unexpected. Guys been a scumbag for a long time now. I just kept hoping he'd change.

But on topic, my first character was a bog standard. I've taken Edgar from Phantasm Star Online up until present day. Not much to say here, he's designed to look like a clean shaven version of myself.

I have in fact written a good outline on how his character develops, mostly focused from post patch 4.4 and beyond.

He never regained his memory, but he's alright with that. He has gotten to the point where he's fine in making new memories instead.

Y'know what? Seeing both of us in Aether, I might be down to converse more in-game about both our WoLs at some point

The main one is going to be Haurchefant, but she also wonders what would've happened if she had not let Minfillia go back alone, and if she could've arrived soon enough to save Meffrid at Rhalgar's Reach. And even before those, what if she had been there when Livia raided the Waking Sands? Beyond that, what if she could've controlled the Light after the last warden and treated with Emet-Selch? Those kinds of things are never going to be, but she can't help but think about them.

Most of the time, she tries something like meditation: focusing on breathing to let those thoughts come and go. Whether or not it works for her depends on a number of factors, particularly if the event in question just recently happened. On those nights, she tends to get up and find a training dummy to take out her frustrations and tire herself out so she'll fall asleep.

That being said, he in his past life was an adept with bamboo flutes & gourd flutes. He might have picked it up again at some point but he’s 100% gonna be out of practice xD

I hope you get the option at 7.0 so that you can play as ur ideal character! I personally like how the design has a lion-like nose and dark scleras

Oh man, my apologies! I spent all of yesterday making maps. I made maps an hour after I woke up (9am) until close to bed time (8pm) and realized I was too tired to play ffxiv (I wasn't sure if this would hurt my coping skills when I fail at something or if I'll be too tired to pay attention). I spent all those hours making about 17 detailed maps in total.

If you are curious, I made the maps for session 0 of a campaign I am Dm'ing. I can post them if you would like

Rhel'a has a vast variety of hobbies! On top of being an extra party member for hire he cooks, bakes, fishes, hunts, sews, knits, goldsmiths, etc. He has many many hobbies as he always has all this extra energy that he doesn't always know what to do with. It also further fuels his unrelenting optimism- he can make so many friends just by giving them food.
He made enough stuffies to become a veritable mountain that he sleeps with. He tries to sleep with every single plushie but sometimes they fall off his bed. He also enjoys doing parkour sometimes- he climbed the kagune tower recently and landed on the lamp post on his second try. When he really has little to do he might help the local tribes and go sight seeing. He might also take photos of cute men (which consent) or birds he sees. especially if there are ducks. He also has a pet goose named Duck that he brings everywhere with him. (as you can see, he is my everything alt. Everything that I did not do on my main, I am doing on this alt).

I chose Elezen back in HW because I genuinely think they are the handsomest men in the game. Hyur is a very close second. And I guess now male Viera are a thing so they are up there too! They are really tall and have the big elf ears that I like. Elezen in general also look the best in heavy armour due to their large build (can see all details) and lack of extra body parts that create unsightly clipping (not to mention ruins the fantasy of heavy armour... that tail is getting cut off in a fight)! Their run never bothered me because I was in ballet (pointe) for 20 years and that is how I run. I love the refinement.
My Duskwight Elezen (which I keep semi-private due to previous forum harassment) is married to a Keeper Miqo'te and together they have a daughter. They moved away from Gridania to Sharlayan because they are more studious types and Gridania is super racist to their people.

Fia (alt) is a Hyur because I think they are pretty. No extra body parts, more normal facial proportions, and cute, feminine animations that overall seem like Disney princesses instead of anime-ish.
She's named after Fia from Eldren Ring. She doesn't have a story. She is my raid alt. I guess her story is a mysterious woman who only shows up to murder and then vanishes for another week.

I designed Ishimar in conjunction with a former friend of mine, coordinated them to look like brothers. Just a couple of street rats from Ul Dah.

Of course said former friend then proceeded to never play the game and ultimately stabbed me in the back last year so I am kinda left wondering if it might be time to hang it up.

oof- I hope things have gotten better since then! I think you could write a new character backstory or write that your character had a brother but got backstabbed then something bad happened to his brother. Or if all else fails, fantasia. Either way, I believe in ya!

Thanks! ;; And yes, you are correct. He is stuck with a physical appearance of his bestie, but his own personality largely remains intact. He had vague recollection of his life in his home universe but he never really manage to recall it fully. All he had was a fervent desire to 'return home', which he later also discarded around post-Heavensward arc (I could write a book lmao). He had a good deal of character development after being exposed to the adventures from 2.0 to present.

As for glam breaking down... to be fair, it's not something that I first had any insight of at beginning. I dress him up however I like to see him in. But when I start to notice a pattern of aesthetic, I think it's something worthy to be peeled I love him that much.

Once again, I appreciate you for making these "Your WoL Headcanon"-posts. They remind me very much of those #WoLqotd tweets from twitters which also happened to be one of the prompts that made me so into this social aspect of the game.

Maybe you could write him remembering his past and then dealing with the crushing blow it may do to him. Honestly, you should write fanfic of your character- he sounds deeply interesting and there is definitely a lot of material to work with.

Yeah, Gridania sucks with how they handle duskwights and keepers. Though, I wish duskwights got more of a spotlight. Either way, sounds like a nice family.

That last line, where she appears to murder in raids then disappears for a time made me chuckle. Quite the mental image. I like her hair! The orange really suits her ^^

So, we all have played this game after making a character. I tend to gush over mine... gosh I love my character. I mean, look at him go! He can do it!
Okay... I'll compose myself.

So, how do you feel about the character(s) you play in game? What gravitated you to choose their physical traits? Do you have a personality in mind for them?
Also, if you have any small bit of lore about your character feel free to mention it! ^^

To start I'll say I love how Miqo'te have tails. It makes me very happy inside. The cat traits are amazing and kept me playing. They are just so expressive. I also wanted to try a skin color I've never used before so I went with a shade that is very fantasy. Rhel'a is a himbo (socially) who don't usually understand if he is being threatened. He might take things literally and give direct answers.
