The 2nd job in Dawntrails should be....

So there's going to be a 2 new jobs coming to Dawntrails, and I might know what the 2nd one will be.

If it's a phy range DPS like everyone is hoping it is, than it going to be Blitzball Player, or Blitzballer for short.

It fits the physical range dps perfectly. Also it would be a cool if they tide it to actual Blitzball and get special moves from competing in Blitzball, like in FFX.

If we're getting Blitzball in game, I'm sure Blitzballer will be a job class.

Blitzball sucked in FFX and it would almost certainly suck in FFXIV. Everybody thinks of the opening cutscene to FFX and not the actual slog those matches were. I guarantee if they ever added it to Gold Saucer it would go the way of Vermillion almost immediately.

True and real, it'd be alive for a maximum of like 5 days and then would be as abandoned as Verminion, Chocobo Racing, Triple Triad tournaments, Mahjong, etc. I really don't get what people's obsession with it as a minigame is (we all did the 'go behind the goalie' cheese, don't lie), and I definitely don't see how on earth it'd make sense, gameplay or lorewise, for it to be a job in FFXIV. It just seems like one of those oddball (pun not indended) one off things that got some cult following. At least Artist/Pictomancer has the aspect of 'appears in multiple installations' going for it

Also we know the second job is a Caster. Can we just stop with the Blitzball copium please. I swear, Yoshi-P could say, live on stage, 'We will never do Blitzball, I will shut the game down before adding that to FFXIV, it is NOT happening, EVER' and some people would still go 'yeh he said that, but he might change his mind, I'd play it every day' it's almost like, delusional

Well... maybe if the companies making those actual sports games based on MLB, NFL, NBA, FIFA, etc... could actually make a fun game the sports nuts would stop coming here asking for Blitzball... >.>

The t-shirt thing? No matter what Yoshi-P actually *said* about Blitzball, my wife - who's a huge FFX fan - thought it was a pretty clear clue.

James Taylor voiced Tidus in Final Fantasy X/X-2, and he was also the voice of Leonardo in the TMNT movie from 2007.

Wakka's actor, John DiMaggio, has also been in a bunch of TMNT-related stuff.

Still hoping it'll turn out to be the case, because nothing says "I'm a big hero" as much as throwing a beachball into someone's face over and over until they die.
