Cloud Data Center: Awful Idea

i don't know , wouldn't running this as a cloud servers be worse for player that live far away from the data centre , and every keystroke would have delays , because they would be a constant download and uploads of all data . like world , character and actions.

No... that is not what they mean by a cloud server.

They mean a server that can scale with demand. Instead of owning their own, physical machines, which they currently do, they stretch a virtual software machine over as many physical machines as is needed. Who lends them all these temporary machines as needed? A huge company like Amazon.

But as I have been saying, this process can make things slower.

if it made duty finder better , i would be up for it on bismarck , duty finder here is a nightmare

Did they recently suggest that they were thinking of putting ff14 on cloud servers I haven't seen anything recently about cloud servers being implemented unless i somehow missed it in a recent interview.

i think the last time i heard any thing was from the former CEO in a xmas letter , but if they have spoken about it again , i have not heard anything. unless i miss something
