Cloud Data Center: Awful Idea

my default answer to all thiiq cloud stuff is : get you head out of the cloud and your feet on the ground.
I see daily what a bad idea cloud stuff is. have network issues once and you are screwef unble to do anything

the entire game already operates like that, if anything going to a cloud provider with redundancy would have more uptime than we do now

I sincerely don't think SE's netcode can handle this.

The better idea is to not bother with any changes.

The last time they tried to "improve" the infrastructure we had months of 90k issues.

Do you know how Cloud Data Center works? Did you research it before you came on here and wrote this post about not liking it? Because if you did, you would never do this but I think it is a good idea to test it to see if it works. Cloud Technology has grown and got better in the last ten years, so it is a good time to test it out to see if it works and if it does, it might give them the ability to do other things in the future.

So, a couple things. One, Noumenon is just a troll, he had no intent on having a good faith discussion or anything and would've just 'stood his ground' stubbornly or never respond, cause the point of this thread was to just...throw more gas onto the dumpster fire that is the forums.

Secondly, he's banned. That's why the medals under 'player' is gone. He's been banned from the forums. Though...he probably has ANOTHER alt already. So...we'll see.

Hmm, their game barely functions if you have more then 100 or so ping, and they want to do cloud servers? Doesn't seem like they understand their own product very well.
